  1. Costco is a US warehouse store chain only from what I understand.
  2. He was a truly great actor. Watching him was always a joy.
  3. Oh see, I’m not trying to have social life outside of international sports
  4. US stock market has paused after the fail-safe limit was hit this morning.
  5. That’s a Costco, so it’s probably the US.
  6. You’re really out of the loop on a lot of the this stuff
  7. How’d you rate your performance today? “Well, we really thought we’d lose 2 parliament members, but we only lost 1 at the end of the day. You know it’s a bit disappointing, but what can you do. Props to Italy for really performing under pressure today. Not country can infect a continent the way they can. Clearly we’ve just been outmatched by an opponent.”
  8. @brunamoura man, that sucks. You’re use of emojis really made me laugh though. I think I’ve inferred what “??” meant, but I’ll keep that to myself. I hope you feel better soon, but you should absolutely take your health 100% seriously. I also get the “government not wanting to make their numbers higher argument.” Trump won’t let people off a cruise ship to be treated in California, since he “likes where the numbers are now.l” ?
  9. Men’s and Women’s QF, 3 heats each, 18 races total. For price it seems fair. Semifinals and Finals are on the next day.
  10. Picked up my last pair of tickets today. BMX Racing QF, should be awesome
  11. I’ve really grown to hate international federations, and multi-sports games organizing committees. If I reach out with a request to 10 separate federations/committees, I might get a response from 1. It’s not like I’m ever asking huge, hard favors either. The only requests I make are: where can I find the qualification documents for “X”, where can I find the results for “X”, do you anything about “X”. It’s so frustrating!
  12. Yeah, remember my comments about our large Iranian, Korean, Chinese, and Italian immigrant communities... And my comment about the cruise ship, which also let people disembark in Mexico before being stop in San Fran bay (RIP Mexico)... And my comments about community spread up North... Not mention, the patient we accidentally let go. The doctors who weren’t supplied with the correct tests or protection material... I could all turnout to just be panic, but it doesn’t look good. We’ll know when we get the new tests kits.
  13. So, there’s a huge shortage of testing kits in the California (and the greater US). The CDC’s first ones weren’t manufactured currently, and we won’t get replacements around Sunday/Monday. Some estimates say that up to 10,000 Californians could have already been exposed to coronavrius, and there’s multiple stories being run about hospitals discharging likely patients. I would expect to see a sizable jump in California soon, but who knows. You can’t trust most the reporting on this thing.
  14. Based off discussions I’ve had with various federations, they all seem to be aware of a few forums, chat groups, Facebook groups like ours.
  15. @Forever Blue You should join my ticket group. There’s a lot of people that could give you advice, and whatnot on there. I’m going unless the games are cancelled. This is a dream trip for me as well, so I get everything you said above.
  16. Have any of you watched that Netflix documentary “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez?”
  17. Which is why I’m shocked Water Ski and Roller Sports somehow kept their place on the program (which is fine since they’re some of my favorite sports). It’s not like their the cheapest sports! I’d actually love to see the meaningless baseball/softball tournaments taken off in favor of Bowling and Squash.
  18. Yeah para-powerlifting is quite fun. I really find most of the Para-sports to be highly entertaining affairs.
  19. Plus, when I think of three sports (or at least tow (Bowling and Racquetball)) that are dominated by Pan American nations, I think of Bowling and Racquetball (and kind of Squash). Our nations have prospered in those sports because of their inclusion in the games. It’s just sad
  20. 2023 Pan American Games sports program has also been announced this week: https://games24.totallympics.com/?p=1835 Sports dropped: Basque Pelota, Bodybuilding, Bowling, Racquetball, and Squash. Bowling had been on the program since 1991, and this a quite shocking honestly. Squash had been on the program since 1995, and I’m equally shocked by it’s exclusion. Notably, Sports Climbing and Dancesport have not been added to the program.
