I'm an idiot. I was assuming the number of quota places per gender on the left 5 (5 teams) meant that only 5 team could qualify + host country. This is my first year looking at qualification documents and some of them are very confusing for me. Thanks

Still been working away on my spreadsheet, I've been reformating it to make more sense but it's a lot of work but fun! Archery No Archery news last week, the 4th stage of the Archery World Cup is coming up in July and in August is the Pan American Championship! Badminton Mongolia International Series 2018 Men's Singles This is the first time Christopher Kan is competing at an event in Singles, or at least thats what the BWF website says. Sadly he lost first round but still good to get some experience! Women's Singles Iris Wang was able to win the first round against Kherlen Darkhanbaatar (what a last name) and advanced to the second round where she beat I Kuan Ao. Sadly Iris lost to Chaasinee Korepap in the Quarter finals. But hopefully this will improve her world ranking above 585 where she is at right now. Peru International 2018 Men's Singles Enrico Asuncion Enrico Asuncion lost to Kevin Cordon in the first round. In Men's Singles Enrico is currently ranked 1,309th at age 19. Crystal Pan Crystal Pan (a name I actually recognize) played in this tournament and got a first round bye! In the second round she beat Nikte which allowed her to advance to the quarter finals where she beat Maria Delia Zambrano. In the semi finals she beat Fabiana Silva from Brazil and in the finals she won against Taymara who beat Disha Gupta another USA competitor. Crystal Pan is currently ranked 119th in Women's Singles World Ranking. Women's K1 - Heats Both Sage and Ashley did not advance to the Semi Finals. C1 - Heats We had Harriet and Sage compete in the C1 but sadly they did not advance to the Semi Finals. Cycling No cycling last week Volleyball 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League Women's Final Round Group Stage We were surprisingly ranked 1st in our group beating Turkey 3-2 and Serbia 3-0! This means we would go against the 2nd ranked team in Pool A. Final Round Final Four In the Semifinals we beat China 3-1 and in the final beat Turkey 3-2! Which means we are the first time winner of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League inaugural season which is amazing!

I've been to Spain but when I was about 6 months old so I don't remember it. But, I' went to Italy about 3 years ago and loved it! I'm not sure where your going in Italy but assuming your going to Rome some of my favorite things I did was obviously get some gelato, visit Vatican City, and overall just enjoy and soak in all the amazing architecture (we don't have much here in the US). I'm not sure how set in stone your trip is but if you get the chance the country side is absolutely stunning and there are some amazing pizza places all throughout! Not sure if this was any help but I hope you have a fun time and I'm going to France in February (school trip) so I might need some advice from you on what to expect!

Hey! Can someone explain to me how the World Cup heats, semi finals, finals work? For example I'm using this website https://www.canoeicf.com/ and I look at the heats and then the semi finals but it doesn't show how many athletes from the heats make it to the semi finals and from semis to final.

At the end of the first quarter we were down 28-24, but in the second and third quarter we score a bunch of points 26-9 in the second and 24-9 in the third. We had quite an even spread of points between our players with two players getting 16 points and six players getting ≥10 points. This win and game finalizes our group C games and now we head to the second round. Group C Final Results: Who will join us in the Second Round (Group E)? Pictures:

How does this help us qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics? In order to qualify we must be one of the top 2 Americas teams at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup In order to qualify we must be one of the top 7 teams at 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualification (Americas) 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualification (Americas) USA 70 - 78 Mexico When you end the 1st quarter 10 - 31 you should be pretty worried. Our previous match against Mexico we beat them 91 - 55 so I'm shocked that we lost to them. Mexican player Francisco Cruz had an amazing game scoring 24 points! Meanwhile our best scorer was Marcus Thornton with only 14 points... Sad part is in an interview with our head coach Jeff Van Gundy he said "If we think we can go to Cuba or Mexico and do the same thing, fall behind early and hope for a late rally, we're making a huge mistake" well thats exactly what the team did. Thankfully we were already qualified for the Second Round. Group Results: Pictures:

Both Cycling and Badminton are a bit hard because there are so many small competitions and competitors that I'm probably just gonna end up sticking with the best in each category. Archery 2018 Archery World Cup - Stage 3 (Salt Lake City) Men's Recurve Qualification Round A pretty amazing qualification round for the USA men, as expected Brady Ellison got into the top 3. Women's Recurve Qualification Round GREAT qualification for the women! All the women seem to be back on form after a bad performance in Antalya. Mackenzie Brown Mackenzie Brown got a first round bye and in the second round beat Mariana Avita (28) from Mexico 6-0. Sadly Mackenzie lost 5-6 in the third round against Ana Maria Rendon (21). Khatuna Lorig Again Khatuna Lorig found it difficult to make it far in the bracket stage after loosing second round to Hayakawa Ren (20) of Japan 4-6. Erin Mickelberry & La Nola Shepherd Well would you look at that! Erin and La Nola got placed against eachother in the first round! Erin Mickelberry ended up winning but only to fall to Deepika Kumari (4) of India 2-6. Men's Recurve Team A 2nd place after qualification for the Men's Recurve Team is pretty great! Well the hype didn't last very long... after a first round win against Saudi Arabia (15) 6-2. We fell to Italy (7) 4-5. Women's Recurve Team A 5th place ranking after qualification is not the worst! We got a nice first round bye and quarter finals ended up beating China (4) 5-3! We moved onto the semi finals and lost to Chinese Taipei (1) 2-6. Basketball 3x3 Women's 2018 FIBA 3x3 World Cup Group Stage We ended up 1st in our group which was a HUGE accomplishment as Russia was expected to be first but we ended up beating them 21-13! Knockout Stage Sadly we ended up going out in the Quarter Finals against Italy (8) loosing a close game 14-17. After not competing last year this was a good result coming back. Cycling Road - UCI World Tour Tejay Van Garderen - Tour de Suisse | 37th place (10 points), TL;DR Archery: Men's Singles: All the men did pretty well but Brady still hasn't been able to make it to finals Women's Singles: Great qualification but still can't find our footing in knockout stage Men's Team: Got upset second round after amazing qualification Women's Team: Surprisingly made it to semi finals Mixed Team: TBD Badminton: Beiwen Zhang is our only good player Basketball 3x3: Women's team made it to quarterfinals loosing to Italy
