  1. Damn, that load on Kuonen's team (at 8:50 or so)
  2. Martin Haven: "Li has completed exactly five races, officially. One in Park City, two in Königssee and three in Innsbruck."
  3. Exactly the point I was trying to make, thanks
  4. Firefighter @hckosice doesn't like what you just said, good sir!
  5. Noone has ever believed cyclo-cross will become a global sport and that's perfectly fine Not every sport needs to be Yeah Worst is generally a better sprinter, but for whatever reason she thought it was a good idea to take the lead for most of the deciding part of the race. Israel Cycling Academy tactics, as it's become known among Dutch cycling fans in the past few years, meaning: very bad tactics Dutch TV apparently even switched to their reporter who was 'live at the broken saddle pin, which was indeed broken!' (I watch it on Belgian TV, but there they mentioned it too from their live reporters)
  6. Three laps done, Iserbyt and Pidcock open the fight for second place, a minute behind Van der Poel.
  7. Two of seven laps done, Van der Poel is 45 seconds ahead of the chasing group (with Pidcock + all of Belgium basically)
  8. The men are underway, much to the surprise of nobody it's Van der Poel and Toon Aerts in the lead
  9. Marion Norbert Riberolle won a rather boring women's U23 race, where she dominated from start to finish. Interestingly, silver went to Hungarian Kata Blanka Vas, ahead of British Anna Kay. After some horribly shitty weather, the track has become very interesting and hard now, it's gonna be a major mud race for the men in a few minutes
  10. Meh, another final ending with an error instead of a nice winner Djokovic wins. How special! It's the first time in history Djokovic wins his 17th Grand Slam title and the first time in his career he wins more than 16 Grand Slam titles! Nobody saw this coming, what a surprise, all the emotions! Etc etc
  11. Thiem also wants to watch the men's junior pursuit at the biathlon youth/junior worlds apparently.
  12. They're louder than all the rest combined though Unless it's against an Australian and the Australians do what they and the French and Americans do best: booing
  13. It doesn't much hurt his popularity though, I always see half the stadium screaming their lungs out for every point he makes
  14. Although every time I happen to watch one of the rare matches where he's behind, he'll call for a medical timeout or some other form of a break
  15. Thibau Nys, yes, obviously Sven's son, won the world junior title after finishing 4th last year. It was a full Belgian sweep with Lennert Belmans en Emiel Verstrynge some way behind him.
  16. Medical timeout or something? Surprise
  17. Not sure luge has those rules though and most of those top cross-country skis can in fact be bought by the general public, they're just rather expensive
  18. That's all fun and well, but if I'm not mistaken World Athletics has a rule stating footwear has to be 'reasonably available to the general public' to allow it to be used. Those super swimsuits were banned relatively quickly by the way. And aerodynamics or (even worse) Fosbury's change are even way more terrible comparisons.
  19. No, it's really not. By the way, you know there is the option to select 'Paste as plain text instead' when you copy something into the reply box right? It's rather hard to read all those million super-sized headlines and screaming letters and everything There's a default letter size and font and everything, it works perfectly fine.
