  1. If in early January you had told me Johannes Strolz of all places would win Olympic gold and silver, I'd have said you might want to check for a concussion
  2. PSY is still doing something?
  3. And that's McGrath in trouble, after earlier Braathen failed to defend Brazil's honour.
  4. His moment in the spotlight was beating Marcel Hirscher at the world championships
  5. Michel Macedo finally tested negative yesterday, let's go
  6. @Dragon will definitely know the exact nomenclature on those, now I'm curious because I thought they were
  7. Or a country with more than one pair in figure skating, or more than one doubles team in luge, or more than one doubles team in tennis, etc
  8. They'll be mostly competing against each other though, I assume, instead of really as a team Good thing for Sweden, Russia, Norway and Finland.
  9. Lindsay! That was excellent
  10. Yeah this is my feeling there as well. But the main thing is she managed to make a truly insanely fast comeback and get an Olympic medal from it, that is....wow. So soon after such an injury.
  11. I mean for the combined. Because I'd say Shiffrin shouldn't even come close to Gisin in that, judging by her downhill today
  12. Anna Weidel will go home without any Olympic participation I mean, I get it, but I'm still utterly disappointed.
  13. Are they orange-haired people born in 1943?
  14. Latypov will be scrubbing toilets in Siberia next month.
  15. wevegotanexpert.gif Kidding of course buddy
  16. Varabei might want to check out life in another country right after the Olympics
  17. In the Olympics, I assume?
  18. Exactly, same for Japan for example. While in the Netherlands, it's more like cycling, with different commercial teams. Which very much raises the overall quality, as shown in the past 20+ years, but isn't good for team stuff Just like there's no way Bergsma and Kramer are going to work together in the mass start. No way.
  19. I think it was them who started that two years ago or so, after all
  20. It's really very easy: Team pursuit is no priority in the Netherlands, never has been. Plus in the women's case, bitching between riders from rival teams. Individually the system in the Netherlands has always paid off and that's what people care most about, but for a team event it's expectedly useless.
  21. And the other expected elimination. Next
  22. It's riders from three different teams, there is zero chemistry and trust between these riders, especially with Schouten in it from the same clan as Bergsma. Nothing else than this could be expected, honestly. Team pursuit is simply not a priority in the Netherlands, at all. This is the result of that.
