  1. All songs have been listened to here, twice at least I think. Making a ranking will work out before Friday evening
  2. It's going to be hard here, there was barely any listening time with all the travel preparations and travel and such...we will try tomorrow...
  3. To be fair, it is slightly more newsworthy when someone is being dragged into a consulate and beaten up there (or people come out of a consulate to beat someone up).
  4. It's Ukraine's territory, they can do whatever they want with it, basically. Russia has zero valid reasons to even be there, unless they are invited by Ukraine, and they quite certainly aren't.
  5. Because Russia is still inside Ukraine. Once they're not, they can negotiate. With which Russia better starts hurrying, since they're being killed left and right by the thousands.
  6. Not an athlete, but noteworthy, sadly: as mentioned, Steeman passed away on Tuesday. Now it turns out his mother has died of a heart attack yesterday. Damn. Her husband had left her at home to go to Portugal after Steeman's accident - the mother had broken her leg recently and so could not make the travel, and the father missed the Portugal races because he was at home caring for his wife.
  7. Right, that's why Russia decided to murder them en masse.
  8. Negotiation is not a problem, it can start as soon as the last Russians have left Ukrainian territory.
  9. And what everyone feared has been announced: Steeman has passed away, aged 22
  10. And I now realize I had plenty of alpine skiing on my TV programme guide in the first three months of the year
  11. I saw it Sunday on Eurosport's schedule, but oddly they had it listed for next weekend (so this week) They are a bit too enthusiastic I think
  12. All I know is I'm not going to Trondheim or Planica anytime soon https://www.world-today-news.com/cross-country-skiing-dramatic-fall/
  13. Chepngetich starting a tad fast in Chicago.
  14. That would only have made it worse. The problem is not the tyres or the cars or drivers not being able to handle the rain on the track, the problem is that these current cars throw up so insanely much spray that it's just impossible to see anything. That might have been 'cool' in the 70's and 80's, but luckily some things do change.
  15. With the clown show not being the decisions itself in this case, but it not being made clear at all during the race, just to clarify Dutch TV said "but he is NOT the champion!" at least 50 times I think in the moments between the finish (which was rather vague by itself) and the podium ceremony At least in this case it really all wouldn't have mattered much. It was only about whether or not he'd be champion today, because if not, he'd absolutely be champion in one of the next races.
  16. This is where Freitas should have called the race. Apparently FIA is not in control of the safety, so that's it. Fuji next time, perhaps.
  17. F1 has been trying for a few years to move the Japanese GP to April, since holding a GP in the middle of typhoon season might not be ideal. For whatever reason, the Japanese organizers have been refusing it.
  18. British Superbikes rider Chrissy Rouse passed away this week, after a crash in Donington last Sunday. Today things went very wrong at the Supersport 300 race in Portimão. Title contender (be it mostly mathematically) Victor Steeman was involved in a crash and apparently got hit. He has been transported by helicopter to the local hospital and remains in critical condition.
  19. Maybe @Sindo can start spamming people with their registered email addresses (in case they have notification emails turned off) already
  20. 56 kilometers, 792 meters Goodbye Chris Boardman, goodbye Superman position, goodbye era of having a 'best human effort' and an 'official world record', it's now all and the same One of the most epic moments in the past 20 years of cycling.
  21. Half a minute up on Boardman, damn. This is the end of the period of hour record attempts for the next 10 years at least. It's been 8 fun years.
  22. He's going to end up close to 57km, dear lord.
  23. Bigham's WR isn't even a subject anymore, at the moment Ganna is well on his way to break Boardman's Superman-record. 25 minutes to go.
