  1. Huh, what a goal
  2. And talking about talents, 15-year old Anton Kemppi in his very first FIS race destroying all the 16/17 year olds in Finland in a 10k classic https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=43407
  3. Looks like Thailand is expanding their program with a bunch of teenagers https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=42364 https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=42363
  4. Who knows, but it'd be dumb to not at least think she's worth keeping an eye on in these races
  5. Yeah, the people who made that 'song' were most likely blackout drunk when they did so anyway..
  6. Three seconds in and go Croatia.
  7. Once again Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen is a class above the rest among the Norwegian juniors, despite being from 2005 whereas basically everyone else is from 2004 or 2003. Superb talent. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/event-details.html?sectorcode=CC&eventid=52229&seasoncode=2023
  8. She will very likely go to the world championships I assume, as she did the previous four times, so if Bruna goes as well, I'll ask her to see if she can find her somewhere and talk a bit. I'm curious about people from non-traditional countries in cross-country skiing
  9. Hopefully the absence of some big names won't make the competitions less exciting, because so far this year they have been fantastic. Especially Beitostølen was one of the better weekends of competition of the past year
  10. Also the first ever Iranian woman starting in a World Cup race (and the fourth ever Iranian World Cup start overall, after two men's starts in 2014 and one in 2010) I'm fairly certain this isn't the biggest Iranian sports news in history But still a mention for @MHSN for this little factoid.
  11. @hckošice
  12. Axel Disasi is of Congolese-Angolan descent. So you know, the least creative football song writers ever needed that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axel_Disasi Oh and Eduardo Camavinga is born in Angola. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduardo_Camavinga Marcus Thuram was born in Italy, but I guess the people in that tweet didn't want to mention that
  13. The Scandinavian Cup in Östersund today isn't shown anywhere, right? Can't find it on SVT's schedule, same for tomorrow and Sunday.
  14. If the very best you and your drunk football buddies can come up with is make a song that says "His mother is from X, his father is from Y and he has a passport from country Z"....well, lol. Good luck at life
  15. [hide] Knockout Stage December 3rd - December 18th, 2022 Third-Place Match Date & Time (GMT +3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 December 17th 2022, h. 18:00 Croatia 0 1 Morocco Final Date & Time (GMT +3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 December 18th 2022, h. 18:00 Argentina 0 2 France [/hide]
  16. You don't mean those things that were blown up - possibly some mistranslation, possibly media looking for more than there actually was - as being 'provocative', whereas they were mostly just answers to specific questions? Like Van Gaal talking about a plan when playing against Messi, after being asked about a plan for playing Messi.
  17. Nope, same for everyone. Hence why I've been rather strongly against for example Dafne Schippers in athletics ever since (mostly) her Rio 2016 antics and shoe-throwing nonsense. Or Cristiano Ronaldo being the very first one to walk off the field after their loss, even though he is (supposed to be) the captain of the team.
  18. It's been in the news left, right and centre though (just like all of these scenes after every match of Morocco especially after the Belgium match), instead of 'no word'.
  19. Very disappointing semis in terms of excitement, hopefully the final delivers more than this.
  20. This is the moment where the coach should really, really take Mbappe out of the match. Frustrations are already starting to appear, you don't want your star player against this...
  21. Fantastic little pass straight through the entire defense
  22. So now Mbappe plays with one warm and one cool shoe
  23. It's been a while since France got 12 points..
  24. It's not like Morocco isn't creating chances...
  25. Perfectly timed sliding if ever I've seen one Too bad it also was a bit of an unfortunate hit.
