  1. Always impossible to predict what would have happened of course, you're right, but Ustiugov does have a scorching sprint in his legs
  2. I prefer Ustiugov winning anyway But not like this.
  3. I still think he would have won anyway, but this is just sad.
  4. Sundby attacks......and falls What a hell of an anti-climax.
  5. Question to all: I can only find this about qualifying for the IBU Cup, but is it possible to participate in the 2nd trimester without having participated in the 1st trimester? I was confident I read somewhere that, if you didn't compete in trimester X, you can compete in trimester Y, but I can't find it anymore. What I'm certain about is this: if one doesn't get less than 250 points in a trimester, the athlete has to sit out one trimester and can compete in the next one (so don't get it in trimester 1, then you can compete in trimester 3 again). But can this be 'transferred'? Meaning: if a certain athlete competed in trimester 2 of this season without getting less than 250 points, can this athlete instead of competing in trimester 1 of next season instead skip T1 and compete in T2 of next season?
  6. No, Peter. That's a bad Peter! Don't do this to us
  7. That 4th place for Von Siebenthal Interesting results overall
  8. Bjoergen and Parmakoski fighting for the skiathlon gold, Kalla on her way to bronze since Weng has had to let her go. 1.5-2km to go
  9. Goggia falls. Vonn falls. Water is wet. Snow is cold.
  10. Arnaud Bovolenta just took his first ever World Cup victory in Sunny Valley, but crashed with Bohnacker (I think, or Hronek) after the finish, hitting the sides of the finish area rather hard and now being stretchered off injured
  11. Classic technique can most definitely be learned on rollerskis
  12. If I stand on ski, they're probably gonna break (not seriously, but you get the point) I have no ties to Brazil. On the biggest Dutch forum at every Olympics we have a thread where we support small or exotic nations (like I opened here for the 2016 Olympics), with 2010 being the first time I was on the forum at the Olympics. Since my then girlfriend is Brazilian, I chose Brazil and since then I've been sort of following their winter athletes Then in 2014 obviously I chose Brazil again and had some contact with Leandro Ribela, a year later I wrote an article about him and his project which he put on his Facebook page, followed by a certain Bruna (who was at the Raubichi biathlon YJWCH at that time, her first ever international competition) sending me a message on Facebook asking if I'm an athlete (haha) or a fan It all got more and more from there
  13. Julius Yego learned javelin throwing through watching YouTube videos and became world champion, come on, 'there are no courses' is no excuse The expenses are the harder part then, but if I were you I'd seriously consider putting a few dollars and/or euros aside each month so you can buy yourself some decent equipment when you're back in Europe
  14. Get yourself some rollerskis now then and start working on the technique They're not even that expensive and as long as you've got a decent road somewhere, you can go out and train
  15. I do know it was the first time he was standing on snow on ski's, so it's not unrealistic..
  16. You're forgetting that Hendrickson dominated the very beginning
  17. Vogt showing once more what an amazing mental strenght she has, just wow And Takanashi showing once more that she's the definition of a choker.....I hope she can get it right in Pyeongchang because nobody on earth deserves that gold more than her.. Oh well, at least it was a good competition this time, women's ski jumping has seen much worse times with Takanashi winning by a million miles
  18. It's truly sheer stupidity that they only did so after 21 (or 22) sleds...I mean, after 6-7 sleds it was clear that this was going to be extremely unfair.
  19. Meanwhile in Königssee, the women's competition is completely destroyed by the jury letting the 2nd run go on in this weather.
  20. Rydzek, without any form of doubt the most deserved world champion Bronze for Kircheisen, I really hope he'll be in the relay team and after 15 years finally wins a gold medal!
  21. Thank you again
  22. The old FIS live timing doesn't exist anymore right? The 'new' one is so freaking annoying. If you open another tab, it doesn't update and you have to go back and wait for it to finally do something.
  23. Stuhec finished, Worley DNF'ed again, Feierabend (obviously) and Ross didn't start, Gisin didn't finish. No really, this is a lot better.
