  1. Well, you know, young athletes who are starting to let the world know they are there by dominating junior races or starting their Europa Cup careers
  2. Klaus Kröll has announced the end of his career with immediate effect, yesterday was his last ever race, "That's it" One of the big legends of alpine skiing, maybe not in terms of wins, but if you missed exactly 0 downhills since Val d'Isère 2001 (!), skiing 155 consecutive World Cup-downhills, you can be called a legend To think, there are young athletes knocking on the door right now who literally were not alive yet during the last downhill without Kröll..
  3. Don't give up hope, maybe the others all fall 15 times!
  4. Lap 1 of 6 done, Colombia is only 1:52 minutes behind, come on, it's still possible
  5. Hopefully Colombia gets a place in the top-2
  6. Anyone saved the times of the 1st heat? The live timing isn't exactly useful for a team sprint because the result of heat 1 is removed when heat 2 starts
  7. At least year's world championships it seemed to be the top-5 though Edit: No, I think you're right
  8. That's pretty much decided at halfway then, nice fight for non-last between Ukraine and Australia
  9. How many go through to the final btw, top-5 I suppose?
  10. No doubt the finals will be, but the semi-finals are normally not shown...I had hoped it might be different for the world champs, but I guess not.
  11. Literal quote: "Aah I am so happy!" (and imagine that being said with a laughing and almost jumping up and down kind of voice)
  12. Colombia Still unbelievable that the Brazilian federation chose not to let their women compete in the teamsprint. They could easily have let Bruna stay a couple of days (she arrived back home in Brazil yesterday morning) so she could compete with Mourão here.
  13. The whole interview with Renaat Schotte of Belgian TV: http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielrennen/1.2901895 "The moment when you went wide in that curve, was that the moment you lost today?" Sagan: "No." "..." "..." "..." "..."
  14. Because Vanmarcke really did ride a tactically horrible race?
  15. Sagan enjoying the 'up and down'-function of the chair
  16. Sagan to Vanmarcke: "Why you didn't attack? You should have attacked!" Vanmarcke: "Because we said we would go for a sprint." Sagan: "Oh."
  17. Sagan is feeling rather bad. Right after the finish he went to the toilet (according to Belgian TV, I guess we know what he did there ) and now he's not coming to the studio because he's not feeling well. Damn, he is being a sore loser
  18. Look at the fat guy running with Greg
  19. Van Avermaet
  20. 7k to go, Sagan, Van Avermaet and Vanmarcke in the lead and on their way to deciding the winner.
  21. Wow, I did not expect Carrara, invisible all season, to take gold here, and with a fantastic skiing time as well
  22. Painful fall for Dempster..
