  1. Our Dutch commentator directly after the finish by the way: "Gold for Russia, silver for Italy and the Finnish fans can be happy with a nice bronze medal for their team" Ok, after some time maybe, but please tell me in which universe fans from Finland can be happy with this bronze medal directly after the finish (where Finland might also be replaced by any random country, the big thing being it's the home country)
  2. Today was Feyenoord (Rotterdam) - PSV (Eindhoven) in the Dutch competition, the 1st and 2nd placed teams in the competition so a big match. Feyenoord won because of a 82nd minute goal that would never ever have been given if there had not been goal line technology The ball didn't pass the line, then PSV's goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet picked it up in such a way that it passed the line by a few millimeter, resulting in 'Goal' instead of 'No goal'
  3. Yeah but he put them in his mouth like 10 minutes earlier, come on
  4. "The big classics are up next, what's your goal for the classics this season?" Sagan: "We'll see.....the big goal is to stay good. After that, whatever comes, everything is good."
  5. Can you please teach Sagan it's very rude and sort of disgusting to talk with your mouth full of 'food'?
  6. Very strong win for Sagan
  7. Sagan, Rowe, Trentin, Bennoot and Stuyven going for the win in Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, 5k to go.
  8. 4 runs and we end the world championships with a tie for gold Not that good though because I'm never a fan of people sharing gold, since now you still can't say who really is the champion
  9. Never heard of Bontje And nah, the real sad stories are those that missed out on participating several times due to injuries and stuff like that, those with 4th and 5th places at least got 4th and 5th places
  10. Would someone who doesn't care so much about something get all teary in the interview when asked about it and saying that he has fought so hard for 15 years for this?
  11. What? It's deserved after 15 years of being in the top of the world Losing it today wouldn't have been the most strange thing ever in the history of sports
  12. Finally gold for Kircheisen, so incredibly much deserved
  13. I have a feeling Lahti is going to explode if Manninen manages to take bronze here Although he doesn't because right when I write this, Gerstgraser throws on the turbo
  14. If it was a bigger sport there would be a winning margin bet, but not here
  15. Yeah....nope Free money btw! (not really obviously)
  16. I know, but I'm not cheering yet until it's there
  17. I'm definitely hoping with you, but I truly doubt it's possible.. Gold will of course be for Germany if nothing weird happens (which would mean Kircheisen would finally get a gold medal after such a huge career, the one and only reason I'm hoping for nothing weird to happen there). That's three teams left that Finland has to overtake at least. Japan is probably possible, France should be possible although Braud was strong. I very much doubt they can pass Austria or Norway though... My guess is Germany for gold, Norway for silver and Austria for bronze if Gerstgraser in last position can keep it together.
  18. That is still very much up for debate.. I see Jauhojärvi 2014 just as guilty as Iversen 2017: both were in my opinion not 100% guilty but part of an 'avoidable race incident' as it could be called in Formula 1. I'm sad about it though, even though I now won all my 3 bets, I was jumping here when Niskanen closed the gap and was on his way to fight for gold
  19. Karma is a huge, huge bitch for Finland today...after the drama in the Sochi Olympics with Jauhojärvi crashing Tscharnke in the last lap and then taking gold instead of being disqualified, this is one hell of a painful moment to get the 'punishment' for that.
  20. But it's really not like she's come out of nowhere, not even close I mean, she has already shown some very strong performances throughout the season. Maybe not that many top-6 finished (not zero though), but I've seen almost every WC so far this season and especially in the first part of the season she was showing strong form quite often
  21. Alright then, 'skiing fans' or something, you get the point, a downhill without Kröll is long ago, that's it
  22. I missed something I think, why would they be disqualified?
  23. Norway going to women's gold, Russia to silver and I guess Sweden for bronze By the way, this is all live on Brazil's major sports channel apparently, winter sports are getting big there
