  1. I quite often just don't watch the news, so I easily miss things and might have missed this, but I have seen absolutely nothing about this in media here The only reason I know this happened is because of your posts here
  2. I hope so for here, last year we had 8 months of summer or something, like it would never end. It can start way later now.
  3. I'm starting to slowly be filled with hope and excitement
  4. Cool! My home area is more in the northwest of the Veluwe (Nunspeet, and surrounding places like Ermelo, Putten, Epe, Elspeet, Vierhouten), which is not exactly the Arnhem area, but you're still welcome to come cycle
  5. €997.984,07 on Algeria wins €2.015,93 on Algeria loses If you'll excuse me, I'm now gonna book my trip across cross-country skiing events for the entire winter in good hotels because I'm sure of a nearly €8000 profit
  6. Last month in our local newspaper I saw a classmate/friend of Anne Frank apparently hid from the Germans in my part of the country, including in my 'gemeente' (surely you know the word and you know it's not exactly synonymous with 'town' or something ). Among other places, she stayed in the 'Hidden Village' in the woods here, where quite some Jews were hiding. https://excitinghistory.com/liberation-route/vierhouten-verscholen-dorp Sadly it was eventually discovered by the Germans when a boy crossed an opening in the woods to get some water and German soldiers followed him. The original huts aren't there anymore, but there are a few they rebuild to give a bit of a sense of how it was. There's not really much of a monument or info or anything except for one sign, but it's relatively deep in the woods and so pretty quiet and an interesting place to visit (and easy to do for me by bike). If you're ever on the Veluwe, let me know
  7. I'm mostly surprised Saudi Arabia even allows it
  8. I'm trying to wait with getting hyped until it's actually starting this time, but it's not working very well
  9. Nope, Henry_Leon's post was correct..
  10. I hope you're done because time is almost over
  11. I haven't been feeling good (mentally speaking) this week, something going on that eats at me and bothers me all day long, yet I managed to run my fastest 5km ever this morning PB went from 24:25 to 24:17 Which makes me very confident I can go sub-24 when I'm feeling better.
  12. So Mattias Nilsson has moved up as well?
  13. Let's do this.
  14. That's gonna be a festive Death Remembrance Day tomorrow.... I'm happy my voting isn't at 20.00, which is when the entire nation comes to a massive standstill (including trains and all) and remains silent for two minutes.
  15. who?.gif Never ever ever heard of the guy, not even in any kind of support role for the IBU Cup/Junior team a few years ago.
  16. That would still surprise me extremely little.
  17. That's actually the Dutch abbreviation for Under 18.
  18. Joking aside, I actually do find butterfly migrations an awesome sight, to bad we don't have it here.
  19. Cool! Are they flying past your kindergarten?
  20. Where she's going to go all-out from the very beginning for the first and last time, coming across the finish line flipping Coe off in 1:46.20 minutes.
  21. Something that's not clear to me yet: will Semenya get an official athletics ban, like dopers? Or can she not compete anymore specifically in 400, 800 and 1500 meters? And from when on? Because she's on tomorrow's Diamond League 800m start list in Doha. Also: really curious to see if she's going to attack the 200m now
