  1. American statistics site fivethirtyeight has done a bit of timing the stoppages of the games. Only one had too much stoppage time according to them: Germany - Sweden https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/world-cup-stoppage-time-is-wildly-inaccurate/
  2. [hide] Knockout Round June 30th - July 15th, 2018 16 Nations, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Third Place Match and Final Round of 16 Date & Time Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 June 30th 2018, h. 17:00 (GMT+3) France 2 0 Argentina June 30th 2018, h. 21:00 (GMT+3) Uruguay 1 2 Portugal July 1st 2018, h. 17:00 (GMT+3) Spain 3 1 Russia July 1st 2018, h. 21:00 (GMT+3) Croatia 1 0 Denmark July 2nd 2018, h. 18:00 (GMT+4) Brazil 2 1 Mexico July 2nd 2018, h. 21:00 (GMT+3) Belgium 3 0 Japan July 3rd 2018, h. 17:00 (GMT+3) Sweden 1 2 Switzerland July 3rd 2018, h. 21:00 (GMT+3) Colombia 1 2 England [/hide]
  3. Maybe I should go with Switzerland and Croatia in my fantasy team next round considering that I focused on Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Germany
  4. I guess more Mexicans follow South Korea - Germany right now
  5. That's what I was saying. Felt very stupid to use VAR (though somehow one of the Danish commentators kept saying that it was a penalty)
  6. Seriously? Do they need to check VAR there? The arm was just by the body...
  7. The fact that we're one of the teams of the tournament who have conceded the least goals (remember that Australia's was a penalty that some highly respected refs don't think was right) and before that it has only been 3 goals in 10 matches. Schmeichel is in a brilliant shape while the CB's have been doing very well as well. The fullbacks aren't that good but have done very well so far, especially against France (maybe France didn't go all in, but not trying is a lie)
  8. You need to score to win and against Denmark that surely isn't easy (please note that I don't expect us to win, but quite a bit of people seem to make it a lot easier for Croatia than it will be)
  9. Be prepared for one of the strongest defences of the tournament!
  10. Penalty! It's okay, but we've seen bigger ones missed by the refs.
  11. Another fine fact. Denmark - France was Denmark's first 0-0 in the FIFA World Cup. Only our 3rd match without scoring a goal (England in 2002 and Netherlands in 2010 were the former ones) France continues having one 0-0 for the 5th World Cup in a row (6th if you add the 1998 QF)
  12. Well. Denmark was closest to actual chances (except for the good shot from Fekir)
  13. And now it's time to slowly get more and more nervous before kickoff in about 18 hours!
  14. In general a very respectable performance by them.
  15. No. Spain would still advance due to goals scored
  16. Typical. Got him on my fantasy team and then he doesn't score.
  17. I doubt that they want that 2nd place as it may mean ending up in the same half as France, Brazil and Germany (not to mention that both Belgium and Argentina could also end there). Meanwhile the other half would have Croatia as the strongest team (a lot of matches left, but it doesn't seem unrealistic)
  18. That one had gotten quite a bit of attention before the start
  19. William Kvist returns to the Danish squad. He may be able to play if we make it through the group stage.
