  1. Sil Hoekstra and Brenno Francioli testing the waters alongside Dongfeng
  2. Has Pepe changed nationality? (Does anyone btw know if he's okay after the brutal assault on him? )
  3. Volvo Ocean Race fly by in Aarhus. Giving a chance to see the venue of the Worlds in a bit more than a month. Also shows some Olympic class sailors checking out the conditions (at least I saw a couple of Dutch RS:X's) https://www.volvooceanrace.com/en/home.html
  4. Pontus Jansson, Filip Helander and Marcus Rohdén weren't on the Swedish flight to Sochi due to stomach disorders. They are hoping that it isn't anything problematic and hope that they will rejoin the squad before the match against Germany. Isaac Kiese Thelin is also questionable as he's slightly injured.
  5. My friend who is in Argentina just mentioned it a minute ago.
  6. Our NOC also gave it a quick reminder with a few pictures from Baku. But I don't expect any results being front page material either.
  7. You have to get pretty North to have sun at 23.
  8. Personally I don't see him as the King of Football (I believe that Belle is also joking a bit there), but a pretty good player isn't enough. When he was at his best, he was one of the best players in the world (maybe not quite top 3, but pretty damn close). And I'm not mentioning the Swedish championships (actually Zlatan never won that as his only full season in Sweden as a senior was in the 2nd best Swedish league), but he has won several of the best leagues of the world playing a key role in several of those teams winning).
  9. That both means a potential injury and hate from half the Slovakian population
  10. Would really love to see them use it for penalizing diving, but I think it should be done after the match (or possibly during half time though it may be a dangerous way) (except when it's important situations (penalties, free kicks in dangerous situations and such)). It would mean too much stops. If players start seeing yellow cards given to players diving, we could very well see less diving happening (though we could also end up seeing people doing it in the end of the tournament because it wouldn't mean too much to get that yellow card after the final)
  11. I must say that I may be biased by following Swedish media quite a bit
  12. I'm not saying that he's bigger than Cristiano (would have loved that but even though I can't stand Cristiano as anything but an actor, I know very well that he's lengths before Zlatan in everything but getting attention)
  13. Has Sweden taken over the Netherlands (well, they took part in eliminating them), Italy (and them), Spain and France? Damn. How don't we have a better team? Not to mention Ballon d'Or which must mean that all of the World is Sweden
  14. 11 national championships, most in major leagues, 6 times top 10 in Ballon d'Or, 4 times UEFA team of the year, player of the year 3 times in Serie A and 3 times in Ligue 1, most assists in the 2012-13 ChL... Do you want me to continue?
  15. Another group of countries that the Nordic countries are better than (along all continents except Europe and South America who are tied with us )
  16. Wouldn't quite say nothing. He was better than against Peru where it was pretty much just the assist but no doubt that he hasn't shown what he can yet. If a Dane should have been Man of the Match this time I would say Kjær or maybe Delaney (though I agree on what you say about that one).
  17. And yet he was Man of the Match according to the FIFA users. Those are a joke and have been for half the matches (just the fact that Yussuf Poulsen was in DEN-PER shows it quite well)
  18. Yussuf should just stay out of the penalty area!
  19. When Forsberg is playing as he is in the moment, Sweden doesn't work as favourites (even at his best, they are way better as underdogs) (not that I in any way expect a win against Germany, but on the other hand I didn't expect them to get to Russia )
  20. Swedish media getting a bit too cocky for my taste before the match against Germany making fake boarding passes for the German team https://www.expressen.se/sport/fotbollsvm/har-overraskas-tyskland-med-biljetter-hem-fran-vm/
  21. Making it just 1 or 2 is a rather simplistic way of looking at it. It's also very much about tactics. Some of the underdogs managed to be ready and destroy the gameplan of the favourites. Is it the most interesting kind of football? No But Iceland being better prepared for the Argentinian team than Argentina was for the Icelandic doesn't mean that we can just say that Argentina was bad. No doubt they were below what we would expect from a team of their quality, but that was not just Argentina playing bad, but also Iceland being well prepared.
  22. Let's wait and see. It's still early in the tournament and quite a bit of teams start out with nerves.
  23. I guess it's safe to say that 20 countries will fight for the mixed relay quotas through the rankings considering that we already have a startlist for the next 2 events with 20 in Hamburg and 18 in Edmonton. and are questionable as they weren't in Nottingham and neither on the start list in Edmonton. However they can still get 2 scores for the year with the World's and the Ech.
  24. That's a rather simplistic way of looking at it.
