The main problem is that it's pretty Eurocentric. Tim Robertson's silver medal is only the second medal won by a non-European and it's still very much dominated by a few countries (Switzerland, Scandinavia, France and Russia). It doesn't seem likely that it'll be in Paris even though it's one of the main countries.
I fear that it won't get into the Olympics unless Switzerland or a Scandinavian country tries to host. It seems more likely that we'll have ski orienteering in the Winter games.
