  1. sure, sir! but this is a free forum...so i guess I can still write my 0 cent opinion without being sent to jail (or the EU opening an infraction procedure against Italy)...
  2. well, after reading carefully the IOC final report and looking at the unbelievably unfair behaviour of Mrs. Lindberg in the last month or so, now I'm definitely convinced that it would be a huge scandal if the 2026 Winter Games won't be awarded to Italy... This Swedish bid don't deserve at all to be chosen under any aspect... p.s. by the way, also Lindsey Vonn has chosen...and guess what? she's all the way for the Italian bid...
  3. now we are officially in Poland and Spain's hands... FRA later tonight will destroy CRO and then it's quite obvious that both FRA and ROU will end up with 7 points and go through to the semis (and to the Olympics)...
  4. it was so close! I don't know why, but at the end I was really hoping that Jorgensen could do it...
  5. disgusting! there's no other way to describe today's performance by all the Italians... by the way, Denmark!!!

  7. I know...it was the same 4 years ago in Baku...
  8. Men's Team Epee Final Results Gold: Russia Silver: Denmark Bronze: Hungary Semifinals: Russia b. Hungary 24-23 Denmark b. Estonia 40-32 Bronze Medal Match: Hungary b. Estonia 36-25 Gold Medal Match: Russia b. Denmark 31-30 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://www.fencingworldwide.com/en/competition/4580-2018/results/
  9. shame on those idiots of the men's team epee...
  10. surely... in Italy we have a really poor coverage, though... only 1 dedicated channel on our main Pay-TV operator (Sky Italia) and no additional streams... but for those who can reach the 7° East on Satellite, there are 4 HD feeds (encrypted, but with well known keys, so basically open to everybody)... right now, 3 of them are sending just promos, 1 is broadcasting live from the 3X3 Basketball court (usual poor English commentary available)...
  11. for Italy...because it's a big chance to get a medal...and we need to catch all we can, if we want to keep ourselves in the top 10 of the final medal standings (skateboarding, rhytmic gymnastics and so on included, even if I don't enjoy those medals as I don't watch those "sports")...
  12. well, Klein gave the Italian a lesson in the semifinal match, so, I guess he's good enough to be part of that team... and Sanita also fenced a lot better than expected against us... but the French guys today were just untouchable... in any case, this is a very important result for Germany in Olympic perspective...right now, with FRA and USA well ahead of the rest of the field, Russia look clearly in trouble, Italy are not performing like they should do, the Asians (the unexpected Hong Kong included) are making a lot of points and the whole qualification run might become a lot closer than what I thought in the past months... the result of the world champs could/should be the key scoring to give the ranking a well defined shape...
  13. what they should do (for each sport of the Olympic program, actually also to decide which sports should be in said program) is just ask me who I want to be there... p.s. and if they ask me also who should win all the medals, I wouldn't refuse the task...
  14. well, I'm surprised by this afternoon's result...but at least it keeps Italy's chances fair (it takes the chances of a "gentlemen's agreement" between AUT and GER in the last round to end both with 7 points off, which is very, very important given the history of those 2 teams - 1982, do you remember, Algeria?)... now the danger comes from FRA and ROU...hopefully they don't get a draw in their direct match-up and so we will only need to win (really) big against BEL (who are already out of contention) to be the best runner-up among the 3 groups (I don't think that ESP will actually win by 1 or 2 goal margin vs POL and gift us the group victory)...
  15. overall, not an easy task for us... but surely easier than facing any other European rival...
  16. they're definitely going backwords... and frankly, their "innovative formats and ideas" suck big time to me...
  17. dreaming doesn't cost anything... but I wouldn't bet on that...if Boxing keeps playing at the Olympics, I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses to follow Cammarelle and Russo's steps (being an "amateur" -who earns more than most of pro boxers around the world- throughout his entire career)...
  18. oh, c'mon! Vecchi destroyed the great run by Criscio against a very poor Queroli and Gregorio...well, she almost threw it away against AZE in the quarterfinals and then she finally threw it away against France... and this is not the first time she does it! I really don't understand why the coach insists on her as a closer... p.s. they've not been shit, but they got less than what they could... p.p.s. by the way, Ciaraglia to me has a lot more talent than Gregorio...sure, she still need to make some experience at the highest level, but I don't think we're gonna miss Gregorio once we replace her...
  19. total domination by the French guys in the men's Team Foil... they really destroyed all the opponents...the last one, Germany in the Gold Medal match...
  20. I'm gonna write it here...right now... if the boxing qualifications and the actual Olympic tournament are judge fairly, Aziz Mouhiidine (that's the correct spelling) will easily win the Olympic Gold medal... now he's coming back from a long injury pause and I don't expect anything special in this tournament, but he's by far the most talented heavyweight in the new generation and I expect him to shine in the next few years as no other Italian Boxer has done since the retirement of the great Roberto Cammarelle...
  21. a couple of days ago I was joking about corporal punishment for Vecchi and Gregorio... well, today I'm not joking anymore...those 2 idiots should be thrown off the team!!!! the final assault by Gregorio in today's bronze medal match against France was so irritating...
  22. at least our guys come home with a bronze medal...not what we expected, but still better than nothing... Cassarà however looked quite boiled...
  23. well, it's not the first time our team fails badly after the guys won more than 1 individual medal (even after a clean sweep of the podium)... I hope that at the end of the run, we're not going to miss those points lost in these first 2 events of the OQP...
  24. and finally Italy lost to russia in the women's team sabre semis... this, combined with Hungary surprisingly making the big final, is one of the worse possible outcome for us in today's event in terms of OQR... in the meantime, awful start also by the guys in the men's team foil semis against Germany...and here we really need the big points, after the disappointing 5th place in the 1st world cup event included in the OQ period...
