  1. looking at all those people on the beaches and in the streets in the last few days, I had no doubt about it... we weren't, we aren't ready to open everything up, but most people can't stand hard lockdown anymore and our governors (National and locals) have managed the whole thing so badly and with such arrogance and stupidity that this is the natural development of our destiny... p.s. and most Italians are so stupid that they don't even understand that they're just putting their lives at risk, they don't realize this isn't a videogame, this is for real... p.p.s. only positive point of view...today the triple number of tests have been performed if compared to yesterday...so, the positive/tests ratio isn't so scary...
  2. normally when you download a YT video with those plugins (there are many), it's a totally DRM free .mp4 video...so, you can use it just like you prefer (storing on external HDDs/USB keys, keeping on your PC, re-uploading on different cloud services and/or video platforms -in this case you might be in trouble for copyright infringements though)...
  3. checked right now... here in Italy, Dressage links are the full event replays... Eventing videos, instead, are only 6 and 11 mins highlights (individual and team, respectively)...
  4. yes, basically it's a replacement for the suspended "regular" Super Rugby... I hope the worldwide tv rights holders for that one also are given this one for free to make up for that loss...
  5. yesterday...some German Football and the TaylorMade Relief exhibition (Golf)... today...some "classic" sports still TBD...
  6. Rory wins it at the playoff hole... and more than 5.5 million US $ made... big success...and it was nice to watch some great golf after the break...
  7. yeah, but we readily found the answer... from June 3rd, our borders will be fully open again...at least for people coming from UE Countries... so, our tourism could be fully operational, if only the rules set by the Public Health Institute to go to the sea/on the beach/to the restaurant weren't more than absurd... however, I'm not surprised at all...our Nation right now is totally out of control...mentally, socially, economically and politically...it's a true Far West, something we would need a new John Wayne to take care of...because we're at a point where you can hear everything and the opposite of everything even from the supposed most reliable scientists...there's no people talking/acting in the public interest...it's only about selfishness and greediness at the highest level... I'm more and more disgusted by my Countrymen, especially those who are supposed to be on the driving seat and lead us out of these diffcult, dramatic days...
  8. in the last couple of days I guessed right and I got a couple of really close and entertaining KBO baseball games... yesterday it was KT Wiz @ NC Dinos, today it was SK Wyverns @ LG Twins, all on Naver Tv player... https://sports.news.naver.com/tv/index.nhn?uCategory=kbaseball&category=kbo (this service is active only during live KBO games)
  9. this is the end of lockdown effect... in Lombardy, after less than 10 days of "freedom", yesterday there were more than 500 new positive tests and 111 new deaths... c'mon! let's go! let's get everything open and everybody on a morgue table... and I live in the middle of all this sh*t!
  10. covid-19? what's covid-19? https://video.repubblica.it/dossier/coronavirus-wuhan-2020/coronavirus-milano-folla-ai-navigli-all-ora-dell-aperitivo-e-poche-mascherine/359851/360404?ref=search https://bari.repubblica.it/cronaca/2020/05/08/foto/bari_il_lungomare_di_bari_e_affolllato-256093544/1/#1 https://www.repubblica.it/cronaca/2020/05/10/news/coronavirus_ribelli_mondello-256200029/?ref=RHPPLF-BH-I256204929-C8-P5-S1.4-T1 Italians will never learn... p.s. I bet on thousends new deaths and a new total lockdown in less than 15 days...
  11. earlier today... Baseball, KBO (KT wiz @ Doosan Bears) live on Naver TV player NHL Hockey, Dallas Stars @ Winnipeg Jets (game played on December 3rd, 2019) on NHL.tv
  12. I remember those circumstances, the pool C worlds and also the Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994 very well...especially that afternoon when SVK destroyed our poor team 9-4...
  13. it's also live on Youtube...3 matches per week... and it's an international broadcast, with English commentary and on screen graphics... all games, instead, are available on Naver TV website and player (the player works all around the Globe with no restriction, for the website -only way to watch on demand replays- a vpn is required)...
  14. the only one on this team I never had a chance to watch playing is Dzurilla... I did even have the chance to watch some of the last games of Statsny's career, when he was playing in Quebec...I guess I'm getting really, really old...
  15. no idea...and that's the only news in English I could find... in the Italian and Austrian press there's no mention of the reason for her death at all... in any case, dying at the age of 18 is always really sad and touching, no matter why...
  16. Great hope of Austrian skiing found dead https://www.web24.news/u/2020/05/great-hope-of-austrian-skiing-found-dead.html R.I.P. might your soul find the peace you couldn't in this world...
  17. no, it's not anymore... we always have a rotation between weapons on dedicated slot on the calendar (with the same tournament being held on the same date year after year, like in Tennis)... obviously everything could be done a lot better, from the choice of some locations to the venues and even the live coverage, but I don't think that many sports have a better organization... for what concerns the main tournaments and the world ranking, well you always have the best athletes showin'up and the ranking is really showing the season's bests... moreover, Fencing has one of the most effective olympic qualification system (it's only a bit unbalanced towards the powerhouses of the sport, as they have quite a few spots reserved to those athletes who are not supported by a strong team and too few spots for the team events, which are the main base for qualification...but you can't have everything "ideal" when you're not the most popular sport in the world)... p.s. I consider the free coverage on Youtube a plus, not something that should be removed in favour of rich tv contracts, which normally lead true fans without the chance to watch their favourite sport (because no tv network in the world could show every event of a season) in the name of a false and not everlasting "popularity"... and with less "happy" hardcore fans, every sport is going to lose its basic supporting cast on the long period...and for what? a bunch of occasional money in a favourable span and that's it...once the temporary interest is over, it's all over... imho, that's not worth the risk...
  18. well, the 1980 Games were boycotted by 64 Nations (65 if we count Liberia, too...they participated to the Opening Ceremony but then withdrew from all the actual sport events)... among them, USA of course, but also Canada, West Germany, Japan, Kenya (just to name those who had more medal chances than the others)...even Iran and many othe Middle East Nations... Countries like Italy, France and Great Britain, instead, decided to participate without their athletes enrolled in the military forces and under the Olympic Flag... the 2 most prominent Italian names missing the Olympics despite being huge medal candidates were Mariano Scartezzini (that year he was the 2nd best 3000m steeple chase specialist behind a Kenian, who was also absent) and Felice Mariani (judo bronze medallist in 1976 and among the favourites in the -60kg in that year)... not sure about some fencing specialist, though... for what concerns the US team, instead, here you can find the full swimming and athletics teams, with many of those athletes that could easily be considered "miss medals" because of the boycott (the 2 biggest names to me are Mary T. Meagher and Tracey Caulkins in swimming and Edwin Moses and Renaldo Nehemiah in athletics, of course)... Swimming Team 1980...http://magazines.swimmingworld.com:9997/spipdf/1980usolympictrials.pdf Athletics Trials 1980...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_United_States_Olympic_Trials_(track_and_field) p.s. in that T&F team, there should have been also Matt Centrowicz Sr., dad of Matt Centrowicz Jr., who won the 1500m in Rio...
  19. actually, Fencing and Shooting have 2 of the best world circuit through the whole year (and they alsohave them live and ondemand for free on the internet), just to name a couple... the problem is that almost all these sports have always been just a pastime for rich and bored high society people and they never developed themselves as "popular disciplines", therefore nowadays we can't pretend them to suddenly become what they are not, just because the modern technologies are helping a few of us to fall in love with them beyond their true space and interest...
  20. earlier today... Korean Baseball, KBO, Hanwa Eagles @ SK Wyverns (Korean web service, Naver TV)... https://sports.news.naver.com/kbaseball/vod/index.nhn?category=kbo&id=658489&gameId=20200506HHSK02020&listType=game&date=20200506 (KOR vpn is required) Hockey, Gagarin Cup (KHL Finals) 2014, game #3, Metallurg Magnitogorsk @ Lev Prague (Czech/Slovak TV, Sport1 HD) unfortunately, I have no link for this one...
  21. Baseball, KBO (South Korea) season starting tomorrow... all the games of the season are available for free on Twitch.tv (search for KBO channel)... more news, details and stats here: http://www.mykbo.net/
  22. so far, it's only the Softball activity... but I fear that also the next WBC would eventually be moved to 2022, as the Baseball Olympic qualifiers (both the Panamerican tournament and the Global "last chance" tournament) have to be rescheduled for early Spring 2021... p.s. the new KBO (South Korean pro baseball league) season starts tomorrow (all 5 scheduled games should start at 7 a.m. CET)... all the games of the season are available for free on Twitch.tv (search for KBO channel on that platform)...
  23. waiting to see what happens in the next couple of weeks... my prediction is that we're going to get back to 10,000+ new cases/day and 500+ deaths/day by then... we are NOT ready to open it up like that right now...definitely NOT...
  24. by the way, I just finished NCIS #16 and Power's series finale* (one of the most disappointing ever...the 6th and last season should have never been filmed...and tbh, the whole series should have ended around midway through the 3rd season to make it a great series...everything else has just been senseless and made it less and less interesting...I only went on until the end because I used to love "Ghost"'s character)... *both on sky Italia platform now I'm mainly watching Bosch (I really love it, I'm still at season #4) and Hawai'i Five-0 (I'm still at season #6, almost done) on Amazon Prime Video...
