  1. only because it's not an Olympic sport. give them a proper recognition and the sport (which already have more Countries participating at the world champs than the artificial track luge) will bump up their numbers and will have a lot more competitive Nations. look at Karate...it used to have the same old 5/6 Countries at the top...then suddenly there were at least 30 Nations with legitimate gold medal ambitions when it entered the Olympic program...now, a year and a half after the Olympic dismissal, it's back to the usual suspects. it's the Olympic status that makes a sport great, not vice versa. p.s. my first intention was just a joke...but I see that the argument has been taken seriously way more than I expected...
  2. obviously... but he was a late pick, when Senga wasn't available anymore. my top pitchers are Cole, De Grom and Fried (already in IL ) among the starters and Hader among the relievers. Pablo Lopez and Tyler Anderson are the 2 that saved me from the absolute disaster so far...
  3. as the article says, it's a youth / junior facility. there's no way you can host a senior race on a track 700m short and with only 6 curves (and tbh I also think it's not enough even for the junior class, it's good just for the babies, to start the activity already on an artificial track instead of the natural tracks, like it happens right now in South Tyrol and sometimes also in Austria). 50 million venues just to let win 10+ gold medals at the Games...not really necessary...
  4. last one's not gonna happen... . . .

  7. they will never do it...it's Sigulda or Lillehammer for them. and tbh, I think it's time to get rid of artificial track sliding sports...the venue is always too expensive and extremely controversial. time to have just the Natural Track Luge and stop. if the Winter Olympics still make sense in a mid/long future...
  8. what a championship for present is good, future is bright!
  9. no Heathcock Today, in the end...but the USA got gold & bronze in any case... always nice to see more Continents on the podium...and Today we have 4 (an unusual medal in the women's event included). and unbelievable team performance by with 3 guys just below the podium, finishing 5th, 6th and 7th. if only there was a cadet only team event...

  14. had the disastrous idea to put him in my fantasy baseball team... so, I've already lost my 1st match (not that I had any hope...my team sucks, especially in terms of position players) 8 days in advance. by the way, I've already released him...
  15. surely she has prepared this meet perfectly...I think it's a more important test than the World Champ itself (where she might or might not be as fast as this week) looking at the ultimate goal, Paris 2024.

  21. finally Lombardo is back! however, we can't hide the whole team behind Manuel's gold, also Today the rest of the team was just unwatchable meanwhile, in the other weight classes, we just saw another chapter of the Casse vs Mollaei saga...
  22. back-to-back junior gold medals for Heathcock, who won last year representing and now after switching to the . at least end up with a medal, but it wasn't a great day at all. and it was our only medallist, Emanuele Nardella, who denied in the quarterfinal a historical medal to Evann Jean Abba Girault, beating him 15-14 in the most improbable of the assaults. Tomorrow it's Sabre once again, but this time with the Cadets tournaments (where in the men's division the main favourite is still the usual suspect, Colin Heathcock).
