I don't think so, she wouldn't have been allowed to fight even in the earlier rounds for that reason. more likely, it's because she got injured (concussion, a cut in a dangerous position, an exposed wound or something like that) in her semifinal match.

first ever medal for in the Pairs competition. Conti & Macii just stormed into our team and quickly climbed the rankings up to this unexpected, wonderful result (also in terms of scoring, they are always improving big time, adding more and more diffcult elements to their program and skating every time better than ever). I hope they keep improving day after day, until they finally get the Olympic medal at home in 3 years time.
