  4. luckily, no decline for him, yet. but he's investing a lot of energy and training in the Open Water races, which is his main focus in 2023 (I mean, to qualify for the Olympics is not a joke in OWS, he just can't make any mistake in the World Race over 10k). I'm not sure it will give him room to swim below 14.30 at the world champs, when OWS is also before the races in the Pool. however, if there's a chance for him to break that barrier, it's at the Olympics, not this year.
  5. I'm almost sure that the World Champs will never be cancelled. I still have no idea on what the Italian Government will do with & instead. will they be allowed to enter our Territory? my guess is that this decision is not even in the hands of our Government, but the US's (we are just a colony for them, there's no need to hide that almost every important decision on foreign affairs is taken under the advice -order- of the US and solely in their interest). however, if I have to bet my 2 cents, I think that in the end & will participate to the World Champs, if the IOC will not ban them officially at any level.

  13. disaster of a weekend for Italy... yesterday not even a single podium finish in 3 individual events, today a miserable bronze in the women's epee (losing to our arch-rivals, France...it would have been better to win vs France and not get a medal at all ) and this shameful early elimination in the men's sabre... back following the March Madness and Hockey...at least I'm sure I don't make my liver worse than it actually already is...

  20. 3 individual (+ the women's team) kumite gold medals for except for Hubrich's, where have they come out from??? that's the only upset of the tournament, but what an upset! on the other hand, dominating the kata events and and winning a lot of kumite medals it's just the usual business, especially now that the Olympic dream has gone and many non traditional Countries have stopped investing in the sport...

  24. finally, Esposito got a bronze medal...but at what price? it was clear that she couldn't continue her fight in the last 30+ seconds of the BMM because she had a severe injury to the left shoulder, she was basically graced by the ref & judges because they didn't want her to lose a match she just dominated until the injury (caused by her opponent). let's hope it's not too bad, as we're just a few weeks away from the world champs and it would be a true disaster if she can't compete and be competitive in the major event of the season (since she's the absolute key to our team's chances in the team event...actually, without her, we don't have a team at all).
  25. "she said" I fear it's not enough... surely, that's not a conspiracy...if even IBA stopped her (late, too late), it means that there's a lot more behind her case. we'll see, but I guess we won't hear of her for quite a long while...
