  1. Chamizo will have a tougher match with Kuramagomedov, than with Bayramov in my opinion.
  2. The draw for team BG seems more favorable, than not. Still, i'm keeping my expectations at the bare minimum, as the Euros showed, that we are having trouble getting people to finals Also, not having Nazaryan and Milov in GR is a huge blow, which i'm still not over of Freestyle: - FS 57 kg - Vangelov (TS 3) needs only 2 wins for the quota and has a dream draw with Lehr or Tsiutryn. All the big favorites Rzazade, Atli and Dingashvili are on the other side. - FS 65 kg - Naim is on the better half too, even though with the number 1 seed Sacultan, but he is a very unreliable first seed. If Naim gets passed him he has a 50-50 chance with whoever reaches the 1/2 from the other quarter. The big names, Euro Champ Dudaev, Aliyev will fight it out on the other half. - FS 74 kg - Kirov with absolutely no chance. Pretty even draw on both sides. - FS 86 kg - Ramazanov (TS 2) with a perfect draw and i will be disappointed, if he doesn't get the quota. The top 4 names Kurugliev, Naifonov, Gocen and Makoev are all on the other side. - FS 125 kg - Khubulov should be the favorite, but he could lose to or Greco-Roman: - GR 67 kg - Amaev has a tricky first match against Nasibov. If he gets passed him, then it will probably be a fight with Vancza for the quota. This is a pretty open category. - GR 77 kg - Kubatov is a good wrestler with lot's of heart, but this is a tough weight. He has to win (the most) 4 matches with great opponents at every coming round, so no chance for him to reach the final. - GR 130 kg - Ivanov with his first ever GR competition (he was a FS wrestler until now), so yeah Women: - WW 50 kg - Selishka (TS 3) missed the scariest Stadnik and Livach, but still has Sokolova ( Lukasiak). Can't say i'm confident. - WW 53 kg - Binkova, just no.. - WW 57 kg - Nikolova (TS 4) with a fantastic draw. She missed Kurachkina & Hrushyna, who were the ones always beating her at big events. Now only has Kamaloglu, who she already beat at the Euros earlier this year. There won't be a better chance for the quota. - WW 62 kg - Dudova (TS 1) has a rematch with Lindborg from the Euro. She lost there and is very prone to psychological problems.. But, if Dudova gets passed her she should get the quota. - WW 68 kg - I had big fate in Hristova (TS 2), but she is one, who doesn't have a nice draw. Very tough first match with fellow BG ( )Manolova. After that it's a battle with the two 's for the quota. - WW 76 kg - Georgieva is only for the participation here.
  3. Frankly i don't see it happening. There are just too many good wrestlers on both sides of the draw. The best chances are probably Magamadov at FS 86 kg and Lecarpentier at WW 76 kg.

  5. Indonesia is slowly becoming a new powerhouse in this sport. Wouldn't be surprised to see them challenging China more regularly and in more weights.
  6. I read that Istanbul has been chosen as the host for the 2027 European Games with the ambition as a testing ground for the 2036 Olympic Games.
  7. As if the BG qualification cycle isn't subpar enough, now two of our best wrestlers are going to miss the European Qualifier.. Kiril Milov (GR 97 kg) tore his thigh muscle at the training camp in Croatia and could be out for several months. Edmond Nazaryan (GR 60 kg) has also an undisclosed injury. Hope is that he could be ready for the final Qualifier, but in what form is going to be a mystery. Everything is just fine and dandy
  8. After yet another Olympic cycle, where we couldn't get an athlete quota in this sport, the reserve plan has been activated. The first ever woman Olympic medalist for Kimia Alizadeh is going to get a Bulgarian passport in the coming days. The quota she earned at the European Qualifier as an EOR will be changed to a Bulgarian one and we will have our first ever "official" participation in taekwondo.
  9. Very tense and entertaining match
  10. Fair enough. It's just, that i remember proposing a Sunday final a few editions back and it wasn't accepted for some reason ( could be anything don't remember exactly). It feels like every contest is being run the same way.
  11. Fitting end to a disastrous season of alpine skiing. I'm really interested in the FIS council in May or whenever they have it and what kind of decision for next season they would make. Lot's of morons need to be fired ...
  12. You could cross-out Grigor Dimitrov from the list, as his ego is bigger, than the Olympics. I had abandoned tennis as a sport, where we could have a participant, but the recent good results of Viki Tomova have put her in the top 70. Still lots of tournaments to go and tennis rankings are very up and down, when you are after top 30-40, but i would be really happy for her, if she manages to sneak a quota.
  13. This is the biggest take from me too. I know the founding fathers of Totallympics Song Contests are way more traditionalist (and stubborn) than the IOC and FIFA combined , but i think it's time to make some changes to the show. Mainly the schedule for the Grand Finale It's evident, that Saturdays aren't the most suitable time for a growing number of people, who are doing lots of other stuff. Switching to Sundays could help free more people, as that is the more traditional rest day for everyone. Also, another good idea in my opinion is to split the Finale into 2 parts. Have half the votes on Saturday evening (European time) and the other half on Sunday evening. This way users could choose, which of the 2 days is more suitable for them and we are getting away from the day sessions, when people are more likely to be outside, working, travelling, shopping or doing other things, that they wont do in the evening. The downside to this is the time zone difference for our Asian users and Wanderer. But we could make a special session just for them on Sunday afternoon, which would be Sunday evening for them, or they could be the first to vote on Saturday afternoon etc. There needs to be a change, so that more people follow and participate, because having the host submit 20-25 from the 35 nations is a bit underwhelming.
  14. Slovakia in the history books Crazy that we had the two fastest national team goals in the same day.
  15. Wow i didn't expect Italy to win with this song, even though i like it and gave them points! Back to back wins and their are going for the Ireland record.
  16. I am spoiled now Started today with the usual ambition of getting out of the bottom 10, but now let's go for the top 10 Oh, there is also a battle for first place 😉 Could we have a shocking win in the end.
  17. There is indeed a great junior generation in parallel snowboard, but as with every sport here, the switch to men's events is the make or break situation.
  18. So far, this is shaping to be the best performance since i've been doing the contests. Finally i got a song, that people are liking Big thanks for all the votes and especially for the gold from the neighbours down south
  19. BULGARIA Sweden 12 Guatemala 11 Germany 10 Spain 9 Chile 8 Indonesia 7 New Zealand 6 Netherlands 5 Hungary 4 Poland 3 Italy 2 France 1 And this concludes the Bulgarian votes for this edition! Have a lovely end or start to the day. Весел и слънчев край или начало на деня!
  20. And Silver Medal goes surprisingly toooooo BULGARIA Guatemala 11 Germany 10 Spain 9 Chile 8 Indonesia 7 New Zealand 6 Netherlands 5 Hungary 4 Poland 3 Italy 2 France 1
  21. Like i mentioned previously, some of these songs would have switched positions, if i had voted a few days after the closing time.
