Gymnastics Dipa Karmakar is spending most of her time in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium with coach Bisweswar Nandi. This is to ensure she doesn’t over-exert. Recently, the sports ministry asked Dipa and Nandi if they want to train abroad. They turned down the offer, instead asking the government to procure the same vaulting table that will be used for the Olympics and will help her improve her landing.

Hockey India enters the finals of the Champions Trophy 2016. Belgium - Great Britain draws 3 - 3. Nerve racking match in the last quarter . Great Britain were trailing 1 - 3 and almost won the game to knock India out from playing the gold medal match . Great Britain scored twice in the penultimate 2 minutes of the game and looked like scoring another in the last minute.

Really poor day for India overall. Badly hope that Belgium saves the day for India by restricting Great Britain to enter the finals of the Hockey Champions trophy
