  3. Most likely yes. Similar to the format in continental boxing qualifiers. An Olympic box-off between two bronze medalists.
  4. Alright. I just only heard that Pablo Carrera and Alberto Fernandez will definitely compete. No news from the remaining shooters having not been selected yet by COE.
  5. Ola everyone! Question! Do you know how will the Spanish shooters be selected to the Olympic team for Rio?
  6. Kazuki Yazawa, Takuya Haneda, and Aki Yazawa already selected by JOC for Rio? How did it happen?
  7. Men's C-1 - Sideris Tasiadis Men's K-1 - Hannes Aigner Men's C-2 - Franz Anton & Jan Benzien Women's K-1 - Melanie Pfeifer
  8. You forgot Singapore. It's between Sweden and Great Britain. And Chinese Taipei and Singapore will send only one through the rankings, because the other has already qualified through the Asian OQT, so remove one TPE and one SIN. SLO already qualified at the European OQT. Too many corrections.
  9. With only a week remaining before ISSF closes the deadline, are there any updates on the exchange of quota places among the NOCs, apart from China, India, Slovakia, and Australia? ISSF didn't even update the list of quota places on their website since the last qualifying tournament.
  10. Definitely, South Africa will reject the continental quota, and then handed the berth over to Ivory Coast. http://www.sascoc.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Olympics-Fencing.pdf
  11. If an NOC has more than 2 athletes of the same gender among the winners of the 8 groups in Stage 1 (including the 2015 European Games Qualifier), the qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be in the following order: 1) The already confirmed 2015 European Games Qualifier (if any) 2) The highest ranked player/s at the time of the draw of the Qualification Event among the winners of the 8 groups in Stage 1, up to a maximum of 2 (including the 2015 European Games Qualifier) Note: The third player of that NOC will be the first reserve for that NOC if either of the 2 qualifiers are not confirmed by their NOC, or are unable to participate (cancellation) before the deadline for replacements. Winning places from Group A to C in the women's singles were awarded to Germany. Because a maximum of two table tennis players is allowed in the competition, who among the 2015 European Games players will get the unused berth freed by the Germans?
  12. Now that three Germans have already qualified through the European OQT, what will happen to the third spot won by them? As per rules, only a maximum of two table tennis players are allowed to compete in the singles.
  13. I have a question. I assume China might win the place coming from the East Asia zone, and then suddenly two more Chinese table tennis players also secure the remaining spots at the Asian OQT. What will happen to the spots? Based on the rules, only two table tennis players are permitted to compete in the men's singles, and then other one will be eligible to the team competition instead.
  14. Although he missed both the automatic qualifying time and the 2% consideration standard, Chris Walker-Hebborn can be selected to the British Olympic team only if he will be saved by the discretion of the NPD and the head coach, because the team is highly capable of sending their best backstroker to the Games, most especially that he is needed in the medley relay (GB won a place as a top 12 nation at the World Champs in Kazan). For the 200 m butterfly, I'm sure there will no swimmers from GB as none of them had reached both the qualifying time and consideration standard, and could be saved by the staff.
  15. Never mine. I already got the solution to the answers of the consideration times in each pool event.
  16. Alright. Do you know how to compute the 2% standard from the Olympic consideration times set by the British Swimming? Source
  17. Are Hungarian Nationals happening today? According to FINA, it has been scheduled to next month (May 12 to 16). Source
  18. Canada's selection process is indeed clear. They must only achieve an Olympic Qualifying Time and a top finish in each individual pool event to secure their nomination to the Olympic team. Japan and Netherlands have their own Olympic standards in selecting their swimmers. In case they may have not reached the standard, Japanese Swimming Federation has a subjective decision to add more swimmers. For the Netherlands, I don't know yet. China's selection process isn't clear though, so let's just wait further.
  19. Jake Varner (USA) lost his Olympic spot to 2015 World champion Kyle Snyder in the men's heavyweight freestyle.
  20. When will the Germans select and finalize their Olympic canoeing roster for Rio?
  21. Correction. Japan. Kenta Tokunan beat Yousef Al-Shamlan by five points to take the last Olympic spot.
