Jones' rink has opportunity after opportunity to take control of this game against the Swiss, and time and time again they miss easy shots to do so. If you take 0.7 off Rahneva's terrible 2nd run it would still be by far her worst run but she would have been on the podium. That's how bad her 2nd run was (and how good her other runs were). Anyway, today was fun for me personally. Will report back more after some sleep.

This is sadly true. Every Olympics Canada has the worst World Championships to Olympic medal conversions. I've been saying it for years, they need to invest more into psychologists. Canadian athletes have trouble performing on the biggest stage, and it's not due to skill or funding. It's starting to seep into hockey and curling now, too.
