  1. It's getting better now. 13-10 for Canada in the 4th.
  2. Yeah, okay, nevermind. At least he made the final, I guess.
  3. He did finish 4th in the 200m, coming in as the 4th fastest qualifier. But I'll wait to see the prelims at least to judge his chances.
  4. The Canadian, Acevedo, has the fastest qualifying time going into the men's backstroke today. Wonder how that'll work out. Our men haven't been the strongest.
  5. Any streams of rowing?
  6. Interesting strategy by Canada to go with the female swimmers at the start. It did not pay off at all, of course.
  7. After two nights, Canada hasn't medaled in only 1 event for women's (200m free), and Ackman finished 4th there. Still no golds, though.
  8. Yay Warner! And Lepage!
  9. Victor now 29 points ahead of Pierce for silver. By my calculations... Pierce has to beat Victor by 4-5 seconds in the 1500m to take the silver.
  10. Unless one of them throws a monster javelin in the last round, it'll come down to whomever finishes first in the 1500m between Pierce and Victor for silver.
  11. At least Romani delivers a PR in the last round.
  12. Nedows was in 2nd the whole way through shot put, but in the last round he finishes 4th.
  13. It's interesting, it'll be the 4th and 7th seed in the final for the men. The first round was really close (except for the USA who dominated). The semi finals were not nearly as close. It'll be an interesting final.
  14. I just saw that!
  15. I don't know much about archery, but apparently an American just broke the WR in qualifying. And the top 4 were above the PR (another tied it). So that's cool. Just want to say, while I don't know much about this sport, I did live in South Korea for a while so saw a bunch of it on TV. It's a fun sport to watch at the bar or waiting for an appointment. It's sort of relaxing.
  16. After 5 events in the decathlon, Warner just ahead of his 2016 bronze medal performance (but still behind his PB). Lepage, on the other hand, is ahead of his PB. Great future for him!
  17. Is Nettey injured or something?
  18. Wodak GOLD! PR record! Congrats to Biyaki and Cliff as well!
  19. Well, it's been a fun competition. Thanks for keeping me company here, @mrv86!
  20. Judging was....interesting. Maybe the scores were messed up, but idk if it would have affected the placements too much. Garcia was for sure over scored. Nathan was for sure underscored. Vincent gave 3 near perfect dives, and while difficulty was lower, it's crazy that he had to fight for bronze.
  21. Finally, Berlin actually earned a good score!
  22. Followed by a great one by De Souza!
  23. Amazing dive by Diaz!
  24. I agree about Berlin. I don't think Garcia even deserves to be top-3 at this point.
