  1. In weightlifting there is always chance for reallocation. Anybody ranks 11 to 13 or even 14 and 15 still has a realistic chance Beside the obvious reason (doping) injuries also happen alot in this sport
  2. it's not started yet https://www.iwf.net/scoreboard/graphics/get_scoreboard_IWF.html
  3. whoever achieves it first
  4. 73kg looks very interesting with Rahmat Erwin and Shi Zhiyong (hopefully healthy) battling but unfortunately I won't be able to watch it if someone wants to make a list after it, there was only 1 significant result from Group B or C, Briken Calja with 333kg which put him in 13th place Karem Ben Hnia (currently 14th) is guaranteed a place in Paris since there is nobody from Africa and Oceania in Group A to challenge him. (he beats the athlete from Madagascar by just 1 kilo) lots of athletes are remaining in Group A but most of them are already in Top 10, there won't be much changes anyway. the big question is about Shi Zhiyong , I assume he has to win the event to convince the Chinese coaches.
  5. you will have it in 2 or 3 hours, has not happened yet
  6. Abdulrashid Sadulaev is out of Euro qualifiers. His name had been replaced with Zhabrailov who is still good enough to win the quota but far from guaranteed Thats pathetic
  7. Women's 59kg quotas and next in line: this is a bit messed up because Ukraine should be banned from the Olympics (still not a sure thing). China might not pick up this weight as well. (Luo Shifang broke the WR but injured herself in the process, not sure how serious it was) and when it comes to realocation, USA will pick 3 other weights, this Belgian girl is also qualified at 49kg!! she is currently 59kg but still I don't how is the order of things, can she wait for a reallocated quota in this weight (which she prefers) or she has to confirm her 49kg quota first ? MHL has the continental quota for now (she might even get into top 10)
  8. 61kg quotas, no change in top 10 even though some of them improved their results and next in line in case of reallocation:
  9. Rustam Djangabaev (6th in current ranking at +102kg) is tested positive for doping, his name had been removed from the World Cup start list, which means he is not going to Paris 2024 anyway that's his 2nd time, we won't see him for a while, maybe forever.
  10. You mean you can't see that in the ranking list ? I took a screenshot 20 minutes ago and I still can see the sign, but if you change the month to February (to see the previous month's ranking) that sign disappears, which means it's something new. that can be just a mistake though
  11. what does this supposed to mean ?
  12. Morea Baru lifted 281kg today in Group C of men's 61kg. there is nobody from Oceania or Africa competing in Group B or A tomorrow. which means he will 100% finish as the best athlete from these 2 continents. Asia and Europe have multiple athletes in top 10, America has just one, Morris from USA is currently #7 and I'm sure he will stay in top 10. so PNG lost a quota today by 1kg but they will qualify their first athlete for Paris tomorrow
  13. and the continental quota goes to Randafiarison , she beat the girl from PNG by just 1 kilo. Toua (PNG) lifted 171 yesterday in Group C (which was 1kg better than Randafiarison's previous record) but Randafiarison beat her once again by 172kg today in Group B
  14. not familiar with the names but I think they are Afghans, at least based on how their names are written , we usually transliterate it names differently. yeah I agree this refugee team is getting ugly. but at least they look like real refugees (which means amateur and weak athletes) unlike most of those participated in Euro qualifiers.
  15. World Cup start book https://iwf.sport/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2024/03/2024-IWF-World-Cup_Start-Book.pdf this is the last chance for everybody
  16. I think this is great that Germany can't qualify a single team. that's great for future generations, I mean 2040-2050 if IOC (or the World the way it is now) exists that long we are still paying the price of that 1976 team gold medal
  17. not interesting in this topic but World Aquatics is using the term AQUA instead of WA (which you are using in the title) just saying
  18. so this is it, a last minute takedown gave the last quota to Egypt by a 3-3 win here is the summary of qualified NOCs 57kg: 65kg: 74kg: 86kg: 97kg: 125kg:
  19. @thepharoah you won another quota in 97kg , by a 15-3 win or somethingl ike that but it could end up disastrously for El Ders, he got stuck on his own gut wrench and almost got pinned
  20. that was the most dramatic match of evening so far, 4-4 win and quota for Australia but I kind of feel sad for the Nigerian guy with that long surname, he surely has the natural talent , just doesn't know how to score. lack of international experience
  21. I'm sure all wrestling commentors will cheer for Australia in the next match, Onovwiomogbohwo is not someone you want to talk about
  22. your guy won it easily he is probably the best freestyle wrestler in Africa at the moment, his quota was almost guaranteed even before the competition
  23. 2nd quota for GBS , this time 74kg they had 3 FS wrestlers and won 2 quota. almost perfection it could be 3 though
  24. and quota for Samoa one mistake from GBS guy and his back is pinned to the mat. it was a close match before this action
  25. first quota for and that was quite easy Egypt took the other 57kg quota, only in this weight the top 2 seeds were indeed the top two wrestlers.
