  1. No there is no trick. I knew the last session was going to be hell for a sentimental song like Cian’s I actually thought the 3rd session might be ok for us but 2 points total shows how hard the next session will be
  2. thank you for the 2 points! Unfortunately probably the last points of the contest for Ireland given the voting order
  3. I had a read back through the thread and I want to say a huge thank you to the users who gave some points to Ireland: @heywoodu thank you for the 2 pts! Nice to get off the mark very early @Vic Liu thanks for the 5 points! @catgamer OMG thank you so much for the 12 points! Amazing surprise and a nice honour for Cian and his song! @Cinnamon Bun yay, thank you Great Britain for 6 pts from across the Irish Sea @Werloc thanks a million for the 5 pts, always nice to be received well by the Lithuanian jury @Agger @Wumo thank you so much Denmark for the 7 pts. Not sure how the votes combined but I am grateful to the Danish jury @Finnator123 thanks so much for 3 points from Finland!! @amen09 wow!! Thank you Tunisia for the 11 points! What a nice surprise, so glad you liked the song @dcro thank you Croatia for the 2 pts! I'm glad to find some room in your points and that you like it And I also want to congratulate @Griff88 for getting the 12 points from the Irish jury. I absolutely adore Hati Hati Di Jalan . It's such a cool vibe and the singer's voice is just beautiful and is a timeless classic! Before the voting started I thought this would be a battle between and with and being close as well. Looks like I was mostly right but still a long long way to go.
  4. Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the contest so far, it looks like an exciting voting so far. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to follow it so far as I am out most of the day but thank you so much for all who gave some votes to Ireland. I haven’t had a chance yet to go back through to see where the points came from but I’ll try to go back over the thread later to thank everyone
  5. I got a nice pic of the aurora borealis tonight from my phone
  6. Thank you! I hope you get lucky, don’t give up hope yet and there will still be the single ticket draw still to come and I am sure they will top up the tickets for all categories and sessions then. Good luck
  7. Those are indeed what is available for the finals. However when I was purchasing last night there were still tickets available for all categories for men’s rugby Day -1 at least so it would be worth checking those out too if that suits
  8. I finished with the purchasing slot. It is true that the majority of the cheaper class tickets have already gone. I did want to see handball in Day-1 but the only available tickets started at €140 so that was a straight pass for me. I will only travel there for the first few days (before and after the opening ceremony) so I am happy enough with what I have managed to fit in. I managed to get tickets for the men's rugby medal session so I am happy I will see a final of some sport as well Here is what I picked up.... 9. Thank you . I hope so too, though I am confident at least some of the sports I want to see should be available but let's see. I am looking to see a spectrum of sports anyway so I will have back-ups if needed. Haha, I was not feeling it but let's hope some of my luck rubs off on Team Ireland
  10. I just got an email to say I was selected in the draw My window to purchase the tickets is from Tue 21st 11:00 (CET) to Thu 23rd 11:00 (CET). Here is what the email looked like for anyone interested:
  11. Ireland After much deliberation, the Irish National Selection Committee has chosen singer/songwriter Cian Ducrot to represent Ireland at the TISC Annual 2023 in Spain with his single "All For You". I hope you enjoy! Cian Ducrot - All For You Lyrics: I roll over but it's empty You used to lay here beside me I swallow my pride 'cause it's all on me Is it too late? Forgive me Did you mean what you said? Are you angry? Lost more than a friend, now I'm on my knees I don't know why I'm praying tonight But if you can hear me Tell me if you hear me And I should have called And I should have tried And I should have walked you home every night And I should have kissed you ten thousand times Just to tell you I love you I should have done it all All for you, baby But now I'm just a little too late To be what you needed But I hope that he is You took me around but we got nowhere 'Cause you were naïve while I was too scared So when we lit a fire, you ran towards the flares And I stood around and I watched you burn Then I rose up to claim you and left you in the dirt Kept my hands to myself like I kept my word Fool you once, never twice, I guess you've learned And I don't know why I'm praying tonight But if you can hear me Tell me if you hear me And I should have called And I should have tried And I should have walked you home every night And I should have kissed you ten thousand times Just to tell you I love you I should have done it all All for you, baby But now I'm just a little too late To be what you needed But I hope that he is I shouldn't have promised that I'd never fall But you saw the writing all over the walls I try not to cry in the places we'd go to But I still fucking care for you I hope that he calls I hope that he tries I hope that he walks you home every night I hope that he kisses you ten thousand times Just to tell you he loves you
  12. Still no news from @Glen and . It would be the first time they miss the contest
  13. I understand. I think it makes sense to add the 2022 WCh results if there aren’t any this year if you want a full medal table. Good luck
  14. It would be cool to do it day-by-day beginning with Day 1 to see who theoretically would be leading the medal table after each day if it was the actual Olympic schedule.
  15. I've signed up for the draw as well so fingers crossed to all of us who are hoping to get some tickets
  16. 50.45 secs for Rhasidat Adeleke over 400m at indoor meet in Albuquerque!! Fastest ever by an Irish athlete indoors or outdoors and a world lead! Only Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Femke Bol have run quicker indoors in the past 4 years! So excited to see what Adeleke can do this season and beyond
  17. To be honest, I am long past caring about Eurovision or what Ireland sends. I've really tried to be interested in Eurovision in recent years but I think I am getting too old to find anything musically that I enjoy in it and I dislike RTÉ so much that I just can't watch their farcical TV productions (not just talking about Eurosong, I mean in general).
  18. The video is only blocked in the US and Canada (Russia, Belarus, North Korea and South Sudan too but that shouldn’t affect us ). So we’ll check with @Olympian1010 @dezbee2008 and the Canadian jury when they register if they have Spotify because it’s available there. In the meantime if we find a lyric video that has the same version of the song we’ll link that too. Otherwise every other jury will see your video fine, the only issue is for and
  19. Nice to see an Irish swimmer at #53 in the list and deservedly so. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Wiffen can do this summer and next
  20. I’m currently watching fencing - Doha Grand Prix (Épée)
  21. Not all, most of the finals sessions are not available in this phase of ticket sales.
  22. I have been in touch with @Cobi recently and he confirmed that he will be hosting the upcoming TISC Annual 2023. I will let him confirm the timeline, I know his preferred option would see the thread for the new contest opening on February 1st so if that hasn't changed, there isn't too long to wait
