  1. i'm happy because it's a free elections without debasement , despite that my favourite candidate fall why Kais saied is a huge surprise ( no party , without the help of businessmen, whitout any facebook twitter or instagram accounts , without money ....) you can see the difference between kais Saied meeting and other candidates : Nabil Karoui (2nd) Mehdi Jomaa (out of top 5) abir moussi (out of top 5) VS Kais saied (1st)
  2. Top 5 Kais Saied 19.5 % (Huge surprise , without a party ! ) Nabil Karoui 15.5 %(tunisia's berlusconi ) Abdelfatteh Mourou 11 % Abdelkrim Zebidi 9,4 % youcef Chahed 7,5 %
  3. The first exit polls in Tunisia’s presidential elections suggest a shock victory for two political outsiders law professor Kaïs Saïed and media mogul Nabil Karoui, who is on remand in prison on corruption charges he denies. The early results indicate that faced with widespread disillusion over the country’s progress in the past eight years since its revolution, Tunisians have rejected politicians associated with the country’s two main political trends who have dominated for the last years, including the moderate Islamist Ennahda party. The poll, conducted by Sigma Conseil, suggested neither candidate had sufficient votes to declare victory outright, meaning they will both go into a runoff. The projection gives Saïed, a constitutional law professor without a party, 19.5% of the vote and Karoui 15.5%. Ranking third was the Ennahda-backed candidate Abdelfattah Mourou on 11%. They faced a crowded field of 26 candidates, who also included the prime minister, Youssef Chahed. A spokesman for Karoui was quick to declare that the candidate would advance to the next round. “Today Tunisians said their word and wanted to change the power system … we have to respect the will of the people … Nabil Karoui will be in the second round … we won,” Hatem Mliki told reporters. Saïed, a conservative, told Radio Mosaique: “My win brings a big responsibility to change frustration to hope … it is a new step in Tunisian history … it is like a new revolution.”

  8. Days before the first round of Tunisia's presidential election, the first televised debates between the candidates has aired, ( first time in the Arab world) Called "The road to Carthage: Tunisia makes its choice", the programme was broadcast on 11 television channels, two of them public, and about 20 radio stations across the country that spearheaded the so-called Arab Spring revolutions in 2011. Tunisia has since been considered by some as a rare success story for democratic transition after the uprisings Tunisians watching debates in café shop

  11. It is still completely unclear no one will get more than 15-20 % maybe 7 or 8 have decent chance at least to be in second round (top 2 ) i think the top 6 (without ranking ) will be youcef chahed 43 yo Head of the Tunisian government since 2016 Moncef Marzouki 74 yo Former President of the Republic of Tunisia, 2011-2014 Kais Saied 61yo Tunisian jurist and professor of constitutional Abdelkarim Zbidi 69 yo Minister of National Defence. Abdelfatteh Mourou 71 yo Vice President of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People since 2014 Abir Moussi 44 yo Tunisian lawyer Nabil Karoui 56 yo business and owner of the Tunisian television station Nessma.(he is now in jail) but he can win Mourou marzouki and Abir moussi they can finish first in the first round but they dont have any chance to win in scond round only if two of them finish in top 2 (because of alliances)
