  1. I'm convinced Japan would have at least pulled a 7:1 out of this match
  2. Friendship with Africa ended, the Caribbean countries are our friends now.
  3. I'll be thinking of you when I release my newest song
  4. On the topic of passports, some Russian athletes are already looking for their missing Lithuanian grandmothers and grandfathers and considering switching nationalities. There are also talks that Lasickienė might switch, because she has a Lithuanian husband and is very outspoken on the issues of Russian athletics as well as mentioning the fact that she might be considering to start for another country and Lithuania would be the most logical choice.
  5. Underperformances from all three attendees, though even with those results, Gudžius got second and Kilty got third.
  6. I'm swamped with a lot of work lately, so that's why I took so long, I've sent it over to you.
  7. And I have updates from one of the most successful Lithuanian Athletics Championships. On the very first day, there was some history made in the 100m race. Gediminas Truskauskas became the 5th fastest Lithuanian with a time of 10.37, while on the women's side, Andrė Ožechauskaitė ran a 11.71 and smashed all of the youth sprint records. (The winning time was from Deliautaitė with 11.68) A pretty respectable showing from Agnė Šerkšnienė in 400m (recovering after an injury season), she posted a 52.29 time Simas Bertašius ran 1500m very close to the Lithuanian record time and finished in 3:40.34 In the 10000m, Brasevičius was the first man in the last 17 years to run under 30 minutes, so our distance running is rising from the grave slowly Andrius Gudžius won the discus throw with a 68.16 On the second day there were some good results too Gediminas Truskauskas ran the 200m in 20.83 and broke the Lithuanian U23 record and it was only 0.09s worse than the Lithuanian record held by fastest Lithuanian in both 100m and 200m - Rytis Sakalauskas. Modesta Justė Morauskaitė ran 400m. Hurdles with a PB of 57.67, 7th fastest Lithuanian time in that distance. Dovilė Kilty defeated the Lithuanian record holder Diana Zagainova in the triple jump and posted a mark of 14.18, which broke the Lithuanian Championship record. Another fun thing is that Vaida Padimanskaitė is getting a PB after PB in the triple jump and if ECH U23 is going to be hosted next year, she might become the third Lithuanian after Kilty and Zagainova to win the gold in these championships. She's already jumping 13.58 and with the way she is progressing it's not unlikely to see her jumping 14 next season. Lastly, both Lithuanian record holders in the javelin throw threw a season best result of 81.38 for Matusevičius and 60.27 for Jasiūnaitė. There were only four disciplines that did not post a season best result and those were: Women's High Jump (Palšytė skipped the event), Men's Discus Throw, since Gudžius has a better result from other competitions this year, women's 1500m and lastly women's discus throw as well with it being the only competition this year for Zarankaitė that she didn't throw a personal best result. With the championships coming to a close, there is one final stop where all of the best athletes will gather and it is the Baltic Championships in Latvia next weekend. Just like with the other category championships, all three countries send 2 individuals to start in every single discipline and points are combined at the end.
  8. Tomorrow and Saturday is the day for the Lithuanian Championships and pretty much every Lithuanian star is going to attend. Among the participants we have Lithuanian record holders: Simas Bertašius (1500m), Edis Matusevičius (Javelin Throw), Agnė Šerkšnienė (200m, 400m), Airinė Palšytė (High Jump), Diana Zagainova (Triple Jump), Liveta Jasiūnaitė (Javelin Throw) This is the first competition for Palšytė this season, Andrius Gudžius will be throwing the discus as well and he has good results from Palanga. Interesting battles are going to happen in the women's 400m as well as the triple jump between Zagainova and Kilty. Sadly and not sadly at the same time, I'll be away on work for both of the days, but if anything noteworthy happens, I'm gonna post here on Sunday.
  9. Postponed to 2021 in order to accurately represent The Olympics.
  10. If anyone is interested, day 2 is underway!
  11. Woah, Marius Rudzevičius said that he would throw the 700g javelin until he breaks the U18 record. With a 74.86, I think he might have just done it.
  12. Probably not, I doubt that the Latvian or Estonian federations decide to run their own live results on their athletics page if there's already a deal with Spotify. Why isn't it available in Italy?
  13. Two seperate rankings
  14. If anyone is interested in Baltic athletics, today the U18 and U20 Baltic championships start. The rules are pretty simple, two Lithuanians, two Estonians and two Latvians start in every single discipline for both U18 and U20 categories and score points for their team that will be tallied up in the end to see which country wins. The youtube livestream can be found here: and the official start is 15:00 GTM+3 (in three hours from now) There will also be real time live results on the sportify app with the password baltic2020 Personally, I never skip this event, but I have to leave at 16:00 :/ I'm definitely watching all of the second day, that will start at 11:00 GTM+3 tomorrow (gonna drop a livestream link too, if anyone is actually interested )
  15. Imagine if we had 14 judges instead and concluded the match with a 7:7, we could pretend that we're doing a penalty shoot out with 5 random, not participating users deciding how the match ends And to make it even more and more complicated we could use 10 with every team having 5 "shots" and if they've voted against the team that they were affiliated, that would mean they didn't score that round I know this won't happen, it's just been a while since I last wrote something on this thread
  16. On a much lighter note, first biathlon competition in Lithuania today, a cross-country sprint. You can follow up on the results here: http://biathlonltu.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Rezultatai-Biatlonas-LTU-Sprintas-krosas-2020-Nemencine.pdf The winners are pretty straightforward, though a DNS for Dombrovski and Kaukėnas did not even register. Tomorrow it's going to be a rollerski sprint
  17. This Saturday/Sunday, the Baltic U18 and U20 championships are going to take place in Estonia, the best Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian athletes born from 2001 to 2004 are going to fight against each other and themselves to make their PBs and show who will be more than capable to qualify in the European Championships U18, U20, U23 in 2021. Usually most of these Baltic events are scheduled after the big event of the year for that age group, this year though, it's the most important start for some of the athletes, perhaps barring the Lithuanian Championships that are held next weekend.
  18. Since they already qualified, they're probably going to have a happy game and get trashed 8-0 by Japan in the final match.
  19. With me judging more matches down there, I might as well save at least one
  20. Who's to say the real fun is not going to be in the lower bracket? I can trade you my two Round of 16 matches for two of your lower bracket matches.
  21. I hope I'll also be a wake-up agent in the next 8 hours when I have to catch a train
  22. Also, if you don't hear from me tomorrow or the day after, just assume that @Olympian1010 got me.
  23. You honestly think it's a coincidence? It's an encrypted message. An encrypted message for who? What does it mean? Zambia - Z, Japan - J, Kosovo K Rearrange the letters. What do you see? JZK What does that mean? Jay-Z & Kanye One or more of the jurors are hinting at the United States representatives in The Netherlands.
