  1. Chandler gave up on these contests long ago, because he didn't like how Montenegro songs didn't score much.
  2. Well, this year was pretty difficult for my selection process, because I actually had a few decent choices. Although I enjoy showing you guys different artists in every contest, I really wanted to share this song. LITHUANIA GJan - Wild
  3. I think it is fair to say that it is, unless it happened somewhere before 2005. The best ever result that I could find previously was 2012 Dzenis Avdic (Youth) 35th in an individual race.
  4. Aaaand our only top 10 chance just missed two targets on the first prone.
  5. Shooting can always be taught, competitive ski-speed doesn't come as easy, so I think that you should look forward to what this girl may show in the future.
  6. Very disciplined shooting from our girls, two missed two times only and one four times. 33rd place, another three athletes in top 60, two were very close to top 60 as well. Shame for the shooting on the men's side, but I believe they can get into the top 40 in the sprint. Anyways, it seems our younger generation is finally being developed professionally and I'm not that disappointed with what we showed today.
  7. It seems that our guys got overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the competition. Usually they miss from 0-1 targets, sometimes 2 on a stop at the range. Now it seems like 2 or 3 is the norm today and that is quite disappointing. Hopefully they'll pull it together before the sprint.
  8. I love German biathletes, but it would still be more fun if Dahlmeier was challenged and honestly, if she'll have no one to challenge her, she will not stick around for too long. If Wierer regains the 2015/16 form, she might have a chance to keep up.
  9. I don't remember, but an individual time penalty in the youth competition for a missed shot is 45 seconds?
  10. Well, that's fairly sad. Koukalova and Kuzmina out after the Olympics, there is a huge possibility that Kaisa will be out also and I don't think that Domracheva is going to stick around for too long either. Not many people left to challenge Dahlmeier, though I think she's going to have a short career just like Neuner, because 11 world championship medals in two years might make her bored. Looking at the post Olympic season, it seems that the Italian and the French teams are going to be very strong, Preuss is very promissing if she fixes her health issues, Merkushyna seems like she is growing up to be a star. Still, there will always be a void in my heart when Kaisa Makarainen quits
  11. Well, thank you very much for the picture. I'm expecting 7 pursuit races and 1 top 15. Let's see how my plan "minimal expectations" will work out
  12. I contacted our federation and got the information on our team. I believe this is definitely the biggest squad we have ever sent to any biathlon competition (I would still argue, that we had another youth women and 1 junior men that could have joined the team) TEAM LITHUANIA YOUTH MEN Linas Banys Jokūbas Mačkinė Maksim Fomin Nikita Romanov YOUTH WOMEN Raminta Dindaitė Ana Jesipionok Darija Jankauskaitė JUNIOR MEN Deivid Demkov Artiom Serdiukov JUNIOR WOMEN Gabrielė Leščinskaitė Kotryna Vitkūnaitė
  13. What a good day for me today. Nearly all of my favourite biathletes managed to get a medal on the last day. Way to go 2x Simon!!!! and Johannes.
  14. MAKARAINEN!!!!!!!! Thank goodness she managed to set things right in the final race of these championships.
  15. Well, we really messed up our chances for 5 quota's in the Olympics, just because two of our leaders couldn't avoid the penalty loop Beautiful skiing by Landertinger, happy for Austria.
  16. Well, that's awkward. When 47 athletes fail to finish, our 17 year old can get away with 43rd place and right behind the best alpine skiiers from Spain, Andorra, Argentina!!! Marcel Hirscher won't know what hit him when we're in Korea.
  17. Funniest thing is that she produced one of the fastest shooting times that day and only missed one But 90% of the time she misses 2 in the stand. Though it is quite upsetting discussing about Diana's career, because in a better country she could have been one of the best, but Lithuania ruined her. There were times when her shooting speed was one of the best and she needed to slow it down and she would produce top 10/top 20 ski speed's. Props to Teja Gregorin for aging gracefully
  18. Yeah, if everything goes well and Jesipionok, Dindaitė, Romanov and Mačkinė stick with this sport, I'm expecting a brighter future for our Biathlon in the next 4-5 years, because unlike most of our previous generations, these guys have fundamental shooting skills and ability to hit targets from a young age, whilst all of our other athletes would just try to ski super fast and miss 5-6 during sprints and 8-12 during pursuits. I don't know what changed in these couple of years in our training, but it seems that we started teaching biathletes how to think during the race. Edit: A good example would be Diana Rasimovičiūtė's shooting pattern during the stand (1, 2, 5, 4, 3), sometimes it's 1,2,5,3,4, also on some occasions she starts from the second one and goes to five etc. You wouldn't see our youngsters doing that
  19. Sorry to spoil your victory parade, but Jesipionok should be starting in the Youth Race, because she's three years younger than Gabriela By the way, that's the only reason why I actually believe in our Youth team, because 4 of our 16,17 y.o.'s managed to get into top 45-60 on the junior's cup on a few occasions, when nearly all of their competition was 20/21. Edit: You'll only be getting Leščinskaitė and Vitkūnaitė for this one and they are not very easy targets as of yet
  20. I would offer you a friendly rivalry, but your youngsters will probably blow us away
  21. Although the World Championships are the most important thing at the moment, I am very hyped up about the Youth & Junior World Championships and in Slovakia out of all places! If I am not mistaken, we are going to be sending a huge team and we might even get some decent results on the Youth side and Junior women. @hckosice Will you be going to watch the races live?
  22. Oh man, after biathlonews closed down, I don't get any biathlon news on the other teams so I don't know anything what so ever anymore. Damn, I hope Oberhofer gets all 6 golds in Korea, she needs it.
  23. Expected 3 medals, got 1 gold and two penalties in the final Well, whatever the case, our young short-track skater seems like a very strong edition for our miserable winter sport. I just hope we don't ruin him like we do to all of our talented winter sport athletes. (We had a cc skiier that used to beat Kowalczyk and a biathlete that used to go toe to toe with Semerenko sisters, Koukalova and other stars)
  24. Oh, well that's much better news then. Cause she was having a bad start at Ostersund, so I only assumed there was something wrong with her form Hopefully she'll get back like Dorin-Habert.
