Amega?
  2. There will be three boats still chasing Olympic qualification for the Dutch: W8, W2- en M2-. I hope the women's eight will qualify after their 2nd place at the European championship!
  3. Het is Van der Breggen, Van Vleuten, Vos en Vollering geworden. Een dreamteam kun je wel stellen volgens mij!
  4. Just watched the youtube replay for day 2 (loving all these free streams for various sports). Much better day for Laura Smulders who won the women's race and Kimmann with a 3rd place (despite a bad start again). Graf won the men's race.
  5. Win for Koretzky! Slightly disappointing 7th place for MvdP. Still an absolute blast to watch!
  6. The livestream is back on for the men's tournament! Who do you guys think will take the win? I'm hoping for a classic Van der Poel vs Schurter face-off like friday.
  7. Van Gendt has been unlucky with injuries the past two years. Hope he recovers in time doe Tokyo.
  8. Just looked up the results and it looks like Laura Smulders fell in the final. It was Merel Smulders, her younger sister, that finished 2nd behind Baauw! Kimmann didn't reach the final to my surprise, placing 6th in his semifinal.
  9. These two world cups are going to be important internal qualifier for which 3 riders (m/w) will go to Tokyo. Baauw and Smulders are lock-ins of course. Just like Kiemann on the men's side.
  10. Looks like Martina Wegman didn't make the K1 final? Or maybe I misremembered her event. Can the other Dutchwoman also qualify for Tokyo?
  11. I don't particularly enjoy watching combat sports, but the Netherlands has a good tradition in judo. So that was my vote.
  12. Thanks! Looks like I was misinformed from the Dutch media and we actually are 6th already on men's side, so Vader and Van der Poel both qualify. And now that I go back to the NOS article it's editted as well.
  13. The saturday races are the U23 races. I'll be watching for Fem van Empel (u23 cyclocross world champion) and Puck Pieterse (former junior and U23 cyclocross european champion) Edit: looks like Phelps beat me by seconds!
  14. They technically count, but it's only like 10% of points compared to the Olympic distance race. They're mostly important for starting positions in the long course next sunday if I understand correctly.
  15. Bit hard to track down, but the results for the short course are available here https://www.uci.org/mountain-bike/news/2021/coming-up-live-2021-uci-mountain-bike-world-cup-in-albstadt-ger I got the results from Dutch media though
  16. The first World Cup in Albstadt started with the short course today, victories for none other than Van der Poel and Ferrand-Prévot. I'm hoping the Van der Poel and Vader can get enough points in the two world cups this month to go from 8th (1 quota) to 7th (2 quotas) in the nation ranking.
  17. I know nothing about taekwondo, but I see some Dutch athletes for tomorrow. Hup Holland hup!
  18. Third and final Cancun tournament is almost done. Men 1. Mol/Sorum 2. Cherif/Ahmed 3. Perusic/Schweiner 1. Mol/Sorum 2. Cherif/Ahmed 3. Alison/Alvaro Filho 1. Cherif/Ahmed 2. Semenov/ 3. Alison/Alvaro Filho Women 1. Talita/Taiana Lima 2. Pavan/Melissa 3. Agatha/Duda 1. Agatha/Duda 2. Makroguzova/Kholomina 3.Klineman/Ross 1/2. Agatha/Duda vs. Clancy/Artucho 3. Klineman/Ross Still two more 4* star tournament to be played before the Olympic ranking is determined. And then there is the continental qualification tournaments for the final spots.
  19. Disappointing result, especially expected more from Lisanne de Witte
  20. It's a bit unfair from the North American athletes to skip all these competitions and giving me false hope that Femke Bol is the best 400m runner in the world already!
  21. Just realised we haven't mentioned the handball women's team yet. Norway could very well go from 0 to 3 golds.
  22. Agreed. I'd be impressed if I could even make an informed vote for 50 events
  23. I watched the womens final yesterday, a really close and exciting game! Wolosz really is one of the best setters in the world right now. And I'm also happy Conegliano won, with Dutch player Robin de Kruijf
