That was an acceptable defeat and a great silver medal. There weren't any doubts about the Korean gold, they are clearly ahead of everyone else atm.

Silver was always the best case scenario in men's sabre so I will take this as a massive win. I doubt that we have any chance against Korea. They are as strong as ever and we struggled against Italy and Iran. I think it will be a one-sided final.

Btw, Szilágyi is injured. I am not sure if he will be able to complete three matches like this.

I didn't see this one coming at all, I thought the US might win the gold. I have no idea what to think about this. We should win against Iran but they are obviously dangerous.

I think Marchand is capable of swimming a 1:51 fly if he goes all in, he was clearly resting in that semi. Not sure how much Milák left in the tank, I wouldn't be surprised if he repeats the 1:52 time in the final that he had in the semi. So yeah, I am still leaning towards Marchand taking this.

Well, it couldn't get any harder than this for us, beating Balzer and Kharlan will be extremely difficult. That first ever Hungarian women's sabre medal is sure proving to be hard to earn.

That was probably the best display of boxing from a Hungarian at the Olympics in a long time. Kovács goes into the QFs, defeating the Tokyo bronze medalist.
