    @dcro Did we seriously win a quota with a 36th place at the ECh? So this is a new event where so few countries competed that the quota simply defaulted to Hungary?

    What the hell is happening today, first the Giro madness and now a Hungarian quota in Canoe Slalom? First quota ever for Hungary in this discipline.

    I don't think so, but this qualification system is such a mess that I am not sure about anything.

    and have the largest teams with 17-17 athletes. Germany is missing one in women's canoe, we are missing one in men's canoe.

    There has to be one reallocation because we can't have 7 quotas in men's kayak. As I said, I think it will be +1 for but I am not 100% sure.

    I think our MK1 1000m quota will be reallocated and it will be +1 quota for with an 11th place at the WCh. can't get the quota with the 10th place because they already have 6.

    Yeah... 8 & 9 lines have a clear advantage. So what now? We can't have 7 athlete quotas in men's kayak.

    Christ, that was a nightmarish final, but we somehow won the quota in the end.

    Both and seem really strong, maybe it's between them for the win, with as the spoiler.

    I am pretty sure this never happened before, considering that Hungarian cycling was always weak. I knew that Valter was somewhat talented, he won the Tour de Hongrie last year, but this is still crazy.

    An unexpected silver for us in women's 10km, Anna Olasz seems to be in great form, hopefully she will qualify in Portugal.

    They still don't want to reveal who had the positive test, but Ágnes Tiszeker, who represents the Hungarian Antidoping Agency, said that while every positive test is unfortunate, what happened in this case will be particularly shocking. She said that we will be talking about this for a long time and there will be lessons learned from it. So yeah, this all but confirms what's going on, but the Hungarian Shooting Federation will remain silent until they finish their investigation.

    Well, it can't prove that Sidi actually did something inside the room, which probably means that Péni is fucked if he's the one who has the positive test. I still have a small bit of hope left that it's another Hungarian shooter, not Péni.

    Hm, for some reason I thought that the shooting quotas has to be used by the athletes who won them. I guess we can send others like Pekler, but we obviously won't have the same medal chances.

    Yeah... I think we are losing both Péni and Sidi. Based on what's going on, I would be surprised if Péni isn't the one who had the positive test (why else would they watch the security footage two months after the event?). Nobody can actually prove that Sidi did anything when he was in that room so Péni can't prove that he was framed if his test is positive.

    Yikes, we are still shit in Men's K2 1000m.

    Obviously this supports the conspiracy theory that Péni produced the positive test, and Sidi put something in his food/drink. Hopefully this isn't true because of it is....

    We still don't know who produced the positive test, but the scandal is getting bigger: Péter Sidi has been suspended by the Hungarian Shooting Federation because without permission he entered István Péni's room during the Delhi World Cup and stayed there for 45 minutes. Péni wasn't in the room at that time, but there's undisputable evidence from the security footage. The federation will now conduct a disciplinary procedure against Sidi. I think there's a chance that Sidi's quota will be rejected and then reallocated.

    I am just saying what they claim officially, which is that the training camp was cancelled due to safety concerns.     The US athletics team cancelled their pre-Olympic training in Japan that was scheduled to take place in July. The federations are clearly getting more scared of the current COVID situation in Japan.

    It looks like we don't have a clear favorite even after the first rehearsals of the semi-finalists, good news for and/or if they deliver something great. I can't remember the last time the contest was this open.
