  1. The 5th Nacra 17 race had almost half the racers failing to finish due to going over the time limit. The wind just died
  2. I look forward to this experience. Right now there's not much since qualifications just began, but I hope to keep you guys updated.
  3. Quite the third inning for TPE/PUR: 6-4, that's usually the score seen in an entire game...
  4. Yeah they were not impressive so far, they needed an 8th inning to defeat Italy. I had Australia as the favourites to win the Asian/Oceania qualifier, but unless things changes they may be the underdog.
  5. More of a hobby, but I rebooted my blog to report on the 2020 qualification process, hopefully gaining early information on nation's athlete's selection. Once I get enough viewers I'll upgrade to have my own domain name.
  6. Funny thing is that they have a decent chance at qualifying to the Olympics as both Australia and New Zealand can qualify here or in 2019
  7. No, too many reallocations are required, the list would be useless
  8. Just individual sports (not beach handball, field hockey, futsal and rugby sevens)
  9. Sadly no, it's the top 5 from each main weightclass with a maximum of 1 boy and 1 girl across all events for each NOC. The weightclasses will also be combined so that there are only 4 boys and 4 girls events.
  10. Except most boxers are near the maximum weight, you aren't typically going to see an 82kg boxer in the heavyweight. There's a three kg difference between the light flyweight and flyweight, that's having events for the sake of having events.
  11. Detailed List Remaining NOCs - (Potential Sports they can qualify in) Marshall Islands - (Athletics, Swimming) Mauritania - (Athletics) Total NOCs Remaining: 2
  12. Yes, but it needs fewer events. 10 was a lot considering what the other combat sports had. Even 8 for men is pushing it. They also need to bring back real-time scoring and give professionals the same qualifying rights as amateurs.
  13. Yeah, Europeans don't need to worry about being "tourists" if they can qualify through world or continental qualifiers.
  14. Maybe they are trying to word it so it doesn't take a team of lawyers to figure out what was written...
  15. Also due to double starters it is very likely that there will be fewer than 1900 athletes competing. Unless the IAAF decides to let in more than the maximum quota per event.
  16. Yeah, it depends on what the entry standards are, I was imagining it would be something similar to what we had for the 2017 World Championships, basically performances that guarantee to not go over the maximum quota per event.
  17. Canada and United States should qualify normally there shouldn't be too much competition.
  18. It would have made more sense to construct a rankings with say your best 4 players. 100 is a bit ridiculous. It reminds me of weightlifting where they reward average nations rather than top athletes.
  19. That's only for one out of the eight quotas. Still a dumb rule, 8 teams is too small for to try and pull for universality (or even continental quotas).
  20. Since everyone seems to be at the airport, just host it there.
  21. Yeah, unless a woman is clearly better than the men most federation would default to a man. Only way of stopping this would be forcing universality quotas to be gender neutral. Or have the IOC force the IAAF to prioritize ~200 quotas for universality
  22. The IAAF is likely upset with the IOC because they had to reduce their quotas.
  23. Then they also have section B where they can add a female even if they qualified a male and vice versa. Maybe they forgot an "and" in the first section?
