  1. Yeah, that's it My mistake. This format it's a little bit confusing I thought that if she loss, she was going to repechage 9. She goes directly to repechage 10.
  2. Nice to know, I did not know that. But, yes. If she gets the worst position, she'll be in the 8th place
  3. The men's compeition is scheduled to start tomorrow. As for the women's competition. has two athletes in Round 6(the last before the final), Silvana Lima and Tatiana Weston-Webb. They will surf against Bianca Buitendag and Sofia Mulanovich At repechage rounds Anat Lelior , Brisa Hennessy and the three surfers from and are in this phase of the event.
  4. An amazing result for . Anat Lelior is the best surfer from Europe and got this quota.
  5. Now It's 4h13 I love surfing, and the competition is taking place in Japan, so.... here I am
  6. Ella Williams from finished the competition as the best surfer from her continent and got the Oceania quota. She lost her heat at Repechage Round 5, and ended the event in the 29th place. The Australians surfers still are in the competition, but, as I said, they will qualify through WSL. Bianca Buitendag also got a quota to She will be the best athlete from Africa in this competition. In Asia, 's already secured its quota, as well. Shino Matsuda will be the best athlete of this continent.
  7. Do you know why she didn't do this?
  8. Or (If she prefers women ) the spanish football player, Ana Buceta. It's the same problem in Portuguese.
  9. After the end of the second day of heats at women's competition, we have a panorarm about the olympic quotas. Asia: still fighting for the asia's quota . Africa: With only 4 competitors from 2 different countries . The surfer from Senegal has already disqualified. Then, South Africa needs to put one of their surfers between the 30th first positions to qualify, Bianca Buitendag from South Africa is in Round 4 and she is the favourite to get this quota. Oceania: for this spot. Paige Hareb from New Zealand is the favourite and the best athlete of this continent so far. (I'm not counting Australia, once they will qualify by WSL) Europe: the most imprevisible. are the best countries so far, with surfers in Round 4. have surfers in Repechage.

  13. @Olympian1010 Nice post Matt. Thanks for the mention, it's very nice to be part(even a small part) of your history here Interesting that we found the forum at the same way.
  14. Good question I guess that the eight teams in the final will be, automatically, qualified. And, the fights in semifinal to the final will be, at the same time, for the Olympic spots. But, I'm not sure.
  15. That's true, at the end of the game Brazil gave three or four chances to Greece to win the game and they did not get it.
  16. Probably it's not going to change at men's ranking. The first and second positon, which could give us another quota, are pretty far. On women's ranking there are many countries very close of us, and we still can loss our quota. We also can loss one quota in men's ranking, but it's more difficult(I hope so)
  17. No, man. But, the same thing happened with me. I tried to dowload documents from others and I couldn't. I acessed the website in anonymous and I got that. Try to do that.
  18. Yes, it is. But, I wouldn't bet in that. The countries between 8th and 22th positions are lossing quotas at this moment. And, there are a few contenders from unqualified countries near Top 100.
  19. Women's Road Race, right? France is 14th in Olympic Ranking. According to qualifying system, the country earns two quotas in this position. However, this quota was reduced because there are athletes on Top 100 from countries which aren't qualifying through Olympic Ranking. In this case every country loss one quota starting from the last qualified country.
  20. less than two months to the final ranking. Another prospectus regarding the current scenario. Road Race - 02 - Sep.xlsx
  21. Winter games: What can I say? A special mention to Isabel Clark, the best result from a brazilian athlete at winter games so far. 9th place in Snowboard Cross in Turin 2006. Summer games: In terms of number of medals, the worst Olympic Games were in Paris 1924, Los Angeles 1932, and Berlim 1936 without any medals. But, recently, Sydney 2000 was the worst, I remember the frustation when it finished without any gold medal, after a few participations improving Brazil's performance. The best, of course, was Rio 2016.
