  1. 228 years ago Let's all get petty
  2. Worst finish for Lithuanian team ever just one year before Olympics don't really motivate well
  3. And there goes Nemaravicius. Had no hope from the start, but good finish anyway. Lithuania finishing with one silver and 3 top6 finishes
  4. Ouch, rough one from Adomaviciute, well 5th place not so bad, considering she was meant to be in 4x
  5. Karaliene/Rimkute led the race whole time just to loose it at the last 100m Anyway, great silver medal for Lithuanians!
  6. Stankunas brothers finished 4th second year in a row
  7. Update: hosts confirmed: Men's IB Division 2024: Vilnius Women's IIIA Divisions 2024: Zagreb Men's U-18 IB Division 2024: Tallinn
  8. FEI Jumping World Cup stage is back at Vazgaikiemis. You can follow live at:
  9. European Team Race Walking Championships ongoing in Women's 20km finished with NTRISMPIOTI and PALMISANO achieving Olympic qualification times. Men's race starting in less than an hour:
  10. as traditionally submitted their bids to host various level world championships and announced countries they are competing against for the hosting rights: Men's IB Division 2024 : (Vilnius) vs Women's IIIA Divisions 2024: (Elektrėnai), Men's U-18 IB Division 2024: (Klaipėda) vs
  11. 5 countries actually: 1 point 1 point 1 point 2 points 2 points
  12. Actually everything is much more simple. To calculate and validate all the combined votes used to take around additional 30min, so viewers would get disengaged watching random interval acts and show would run much longer (a.k.a. more expensive), hence why EBU decided to start announcing jury votes to get the ball rolling, while at the same time they are validating points from televoting.
  13. I'm so glad won: 1) Best song this year 2) It wasn't an old man in a diaper 3) Now that Loreen also have two victories, we won't have to see Johnny Logan every year in Eurovision history recaps!!!! 4) Now that Sweden have 7 victories, we won't have to see all Irish winner every year in Eurovision history recaps!!! (additional bonus: no more jokes that Logan won thrice, out of which one was in drag (1992))
  14. OMG! That came out of nowhere! Justina's performance this year wasn't as great as last year so I was getting nervous, but this is great!
  15. Well, had public selection format with the voting and that good stuff since 1999, only exception was our debut in 1994. So we had famous singers competing with nobodys/never heard artists. It's sorta become a running joke as bands and new artists looking for fame competed in national preselection every year for publicity. National system would have people voting for top3 and jury selecting the winner. Quickly looking into history, only 7 out of 19 entries between 1999 and 2019 was by artists who were previously known in the country before competing in Eurovision. National selection would be open to absolutely anyone and sometimes run for 16 weeks! Then in 2019 failed to qualify for the final by 1 point (although later on it was announced that had an error calculating their votes and actually should have been in the final, hence our national broadcaster got some refund cash from EBU...) and we were represented by some random engineer that year that was heavily promoted by our jury in national final. After that our national national selection got revamped and renamed to ''Lets try again...'' where they would preselect 16-30 songs from all submissions and have it done in 3-5 weeks with equal 50%/50% split between jury and televotes. Since the change we qualified for the final every time
  16. Shock?? They were listed as 6th-8th in all odds by betting companies...
  17. Awww performance was beautiful. Definitely not the winner but hope to qualify for the final
  18. Lol, I've guessed all 10 qualifiers correctly and not necessarily because I've enjoyed the songs, but rather because it's easy to predict in Eurovision.
  19. confirmed a delegation of 125 athletes, although it was noted that the number might still increase. Seems that Lithuania already received some relocation or invitation spots in some of the sports: Athletics - 46 Rugby 7-ens - 13 Canoeing-sprint - 10 Canoeing-slalom - 4 Modern Pentathlon - 8 Boxing - 8 3x3 Basketball - 8 (both m & w teams) Fencing - 7 Padel Tennis - 4 MTB Cycling - 3 BMX Cylcing - 2 Shooting - 2 Taekwondo - 2 Diving - 2 Archery - 2 Badminton - 1 Table Tennis - 1 Breaking - 1 Teqball - 1
  20. wins gold at the European championships. I'm sorta ok now with this sport in Olympic programme
  21. confirmed the delegation. Country will participate in 3 events: Men's 3x3 basketball, women's 3x3 basketball and men's coastal rowing.
  22. Seriously, why do admins here continue to allow users in the forum that brings so much of foul language and curses... It's like bestman all over again... P.S. - don't you love when someone sells their personal views as a point of view on behalf of entire nation.
  23. Mykolas Alekna sets a new PB in discus at 71.00m mark! That's also a new WU23R, 18th best PB of all-time and second best in Lithuanian history!
  24. Finally, we got our draw: Group A: Group B: Group C: Group D: Group E: Group F: Group G: Group H:
  25. Group A is just a joke...
