  1. Lithuania delegated Paulina Ramanauskaitė and Deividas Kizala (both Figure Skating)
  2. Giedrius Titenis, 4 times Olympic swimmer, Bronze medallist at World championships.
  3. First portion of 2022 sport funding for Lithuanian sport announced as Ministry of Education and Culture announced numbers of sports funding via central government. Sport funding in Lithuania have multiple layers from both central and regional government bodies, therefore this is just the first portion of funding. Interestingly enough, it was announced that all official funding for Judo were cut down to 0, due inadequate use of previous funding and arguments within Lithuanian Judo Federation. There were multiple articles surrounding disagreements within Judo community in Lithuania as multiple breakaway Judo federations started to operate in the country. Unfortunately this is only going to hurt the development of this sport even more... Also no funding for Surfing, Skateboarding and inactive Luge, Skeleton and Bobsleigh federations. No funding for squash and floorball as national federations are not a part of Doping testing system. Wushu removed from funding list, might something to do with countries love for China... Loads of weird non-Olympic sports prioritised over Olympic federations. Basketball loosing a lot of funding after failing to qualify for Tokyo, although further stages might increase the funding + all team sports will have additional fund distributed for team sport development (I know, funding system in Lithuania is very convoluted..) Funding per federation - Stage 1 (more funding to be approved via different sources). Some public figures, including legendary Lithuanian ice dancing due Povilas Vanagas and Margarita Drobiazko making public appearances to support Reed's application based on top10 performance in Europeans... 12. Let's not get too dramatic... China been taking revenge on Lithuania since 2008 Olympics and Lithuanian's stand to support Tibet. Loud threats and accusations, but no real damage, as this time is Lithuania supporting Taiwain.
  13. Great to see some international Track events are back in Panevėžys!
  14. Great news! I still hope for Amrbulevičius/Reed pair to sort out their citizenship as they been showing great form this season, but Ramansuakaitė/Kižala would make a history as first pair of Lithuanian-born skaters in Olympics.

  17. Plenty of girls, but no one to match Krupeckaitė and Marozaitė in the same team. During Nationals and Baltics Lithuania had several 3-women teams going for the title, but results failed to match federation's qualification standards. Just like our federation refused to send men's team sprint team, despite sending two male sprinters to the championships.
  18. Yes, this format kicked in during the last Europeans in 2020. We had 4 teams last time, so slow progress. Tokyo Olympics officially was the last competition with 2 riders per women's team.
