    umm... hard to say, she had an incredible jump in team final, and equally impressive in the first jump in the final.... but she fell on the second..... she probably deserved the silver just for the first jump but she in no way deserved a gold..... anyway maroney kind of went insane after, if you want check out a podcast where she talks candidly about usa gymnastics and all that, GymCastic podcast episode 187, it was right after she announced she wont be going after a rio spot

    oy oy israel israel, both pollack and cohen were medal contenders!! 3 fights, 0 wins, this is so ridiculous, and all i hear from there is "well they made mistakes... they did stuff they never did before...." well why did they do that?? you take chances against people from zambia and mauritius?? you should be able to qualify easily!!! tomorrow Sagi Muki with a bad back, maybe in 2 days yarden gerby.... sigh

    Dude.... gabby's results were way below ally, it's a shame they didnt let laurie complete all 4 because she would've been a very interesting addition , but ally gives us a chance at 2 medals, she is looking pretty good, gabby is here for her uneven bars along with maddy

    Day 1 for israel , not too much to report. Shira Rishony lost in judo first round. By disqualification. I didnt think that it was bad enough..... Dudi sela won in first round men tennis against dzumour from Bosnia Swimming none qualified anywhere else. Tomorrow Shani bloch will compete in the women road race. In judo 2 juodkas that can win medals. Gili Cohen and Golan Pollack. But somehow i dont believe it.

    Not a bad day for our guys. Gold for ginny. Not a bad performance for archery team and lost to a very superior team. Wins in football. Basketball. Volleyball. Beach volleyball. And even hockey. One win in rugby which could lead us to the quarters tomorrow. Loss in water polo three medals in swimming but none are gold... which is disappointing but in a lot of events the world did catch up to us..... Good performances in gymnastics that leaves hope for few medals for the men

    Israeli team was going to the bus to take them to the ceremony and turned out they were assigned same bus as Lebanon. The Lebanese athletes demanded the driver would close the door and the head of the Lebanese delegation blocked the driver from letting our athletes on!! They had to call a special bus to take our guys to the maracana I dont have a link yet. Just social media reports from staff

    I understand what you mean.....but i dunno, no one ever meant more to the world of football then pele. he was truly one of a kind (about to be flamed by argentinians over maradona and messi i'm sure)

    At least they opened up all the streams unlike beijing, though still some of their decisions still suck, and nbc live extra is available for chromecast and roku..... but their primetime bs is so annoying and discriminating against us pacific coasters

    Just another reason i hate nbc...... will it hurt them to put it on nbcolympics.com??? they put gymnastics there 8 hours before they air it on tv so WTF

    Pele said he won't be in the ceremony, i was sure he would be the one to light the cauldron, so if he is not there, which other brazilian athlete could be the one to have that honor?

    Let hope for them to even make it there. Individually london was a disappointment but Brady finished much lower after the ranking round

    I saw some people bring up nbc with vpn. Nbc requires you to have a cable subscription. Without it you get one hour

    Any link for the Opening Ceremony? NBC starting it 4 hours after it actually started and thats the only event without a live stream , so like firstrowsports.eu or maybe something better?

    I dont understand why ioc keeps going back to baseball yet almost took off wrestling. Baseball is popular in a small part of the world. The americas and japan pretty much. Will they want american football next? Better to make an Olympic Formula 1 race. Or figure out a way to make the soccer tournament mean something!
