  1. A tymczasem dwie inne dobre wiadomości: Primo: Secundo:
Niemniej zdjęcia A. Klasik wyglądało dziwnie, dziwnie.
  3. Poland - I mean WHY?! Why change the best fencer in the team (A. Klasik)? Because she was only 20? Because she "still has time"? Because the others "earned it" in the past? This is a very, very rotten way of thinking from the Polish coaches.
  4. Well, it in the Polish version of the app the quality is literally called "good", "better" and "the best" . No numbers though :/
  5. I sent a feedback about missing disciplines to the support on the official website yesterday. I do not know if it mattered anything, but today swimming and rowing are there in the schedule! One issue less with the system then
  6. It seems whoever (country I mean) wins mens epee final spends the night as the leader of the medal table... No pressure though.
  7. Just for the record... all three Polish foil fencers lost in early rounds to three different semifinalists... I call it a bad luck Can't wait for the team competition though.
  8. I am sorry, but we literally do have the worst results system at the Olympics in the Internet era :/
  9. I found the competition today rather disappointing. It looks badly when most of the runs end in a fall. It did not make an impression it was an exceptional level and hence that it suits Olympics at the moment. Maybe the event has to mature a little.
  11. No takie rzeczy to kabaret...
  12. When I choose my favourite team on the official website, I should get the schedule of participants from my country on this day. It works to some extent, but consequently it ignores some sports like swimming and rowing. Is this only my problem or you experience it so, too?
  14. Should've posted it yesterday, please forgive my bad reflex :D https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/2fa69d35-bc79-48bc-ae19-6787bf5e77e2
  15. Well, I think that would be a new dimension to deal with - aka "not a bug but a feature". Maybe you would decide then to play passively in the initial phases and use the remainder of your power to strike back against your exhausted opponent in the final minutes? I believe 10 instead of 7 minutes would be a decent change to start with. Now it seems a little like a "demo version" of the game (which I know it is to some extent :D). And it looks strange if you have 3mins of added time when you actually should play 7, so it is 40% more, equivalent to some 20min additional time in football. Would we see that in a football game, we would all go crazy, wouldn't we?;) In a team sport where you have combined effort of a number of people it feels too trivial when 4 years of work come down to a performance as short as 2x7min (I think of NZ now especially). There could be more epic in it and there is definitely potential for it
  16. And here you have a quick summary of rugby rules if you needed to explain it to your non-sport-fans-friends before Saturday's finals;)
  17. Women -63kg - seems like a safe way for Szymanska up to the QF.... and then we'll see
  18. Great job, thank you for that Might I ask why is Mateusz Bereznicki according to your ranking as low as 14th? Is it because the whole line up is exceptionally strong or you just do not find him strong enough? I ask as someone who does not dig deep in boxing but I saw some of his bouts in the OQT and found his boxing... convincing
  19. Did you notice the dramatic drop in the size of the South Korean team for the Olympics? It is down from well above 200 athletes in the past 6-7 Games to 141 this year. Mainly it is due to the lack of qualification in the team sports (baseball - I know - not in programme this time, volleyball, football, basketball). Do you think it is that a one-time issue or is it a sustainable development that South Korean teams are being outperformed by others in Asian qualifications?
  20. An update about our C1, Dorota Borowska: Allegedly the drug she was tested positive for (clostebol) came from a.... dog ointment she got prescripted in Italy (wtf?!) for her injured dog. While she treated the dog the substance got into her body. Now she is going to go (with her dog of course - no shit :D) to a laboratory in Strasbourg in order to verify this version. Source: https://przegladsportowy.onet.pl/kajakarstwo/polka-zawieszona-za-doping-i-zwrot-wszystko-przez-masc-dla-psa/7bt9ev4 Btw., that would be a very strange case. As much as I wish her to be allowed to compete, I wonder how would that influence a) her performance - if at all? could such amounts of any substance cause substanial differences in an athlete's performance? b) any other athletes, if a) was answered positively? Would they all of a sudden become dog fans and take care of their pets with some drugs that they would otherwise not use?
