  1. This week the IBU Cup is in Estonia. On tap is Supersprint, and Sprint.
  2. Boe runs away with the men's race, Eliseev also does well. Women race was won by Yurlova with Kryuko in 2nd. Belarus really rose to the occasion. Emily Dreissigacker of the US has one of her best weekends ever with a 10th in the Spring and 9th in the Pursuit.
  3. I think they left for Sweden after the races yesterday. Does open the pursuit some.
  4. The US actually had a pretty good day. The women put 4 in the pursuit - Emily Dressigacker - 10th place Hannah Grossman - 54th place Deedra Irwin - 56th place Kelsey Dickinson - 60th place I would love to see Dressigacker finish in the top 10 tomorrow, that would be awesome. For the men, they put 3 in the pursuit - Max Durtschi - 29th Alex Howe - 48th Jake Ellingson - 55th Emily Dressigacker had a great race a hung was only 1:16 behind the winner!
  5. Both sprint's tomorrow. 116 for the men's race 91 for the women's race
  6. Sort of melt-down. 1st to 3rd, but they did hold of Russia.
  7. That is a really fast decent into the range. I wonder if we will see any collisions or falls in either the Spring, or Mass Start.
  8. Also, Germnay's Simon Schempp has stopped his season due to health reasons. He will train for he 2019-2020 season. The German men's team looks to be shaping up like this: Benedikt Doll, Erik Lesser, Johannes Kühn and Roman Rees. Philipp Nawrath is also trying to make the squad.
  9. Canada has announced their World Championship team: Men Christian Gow (Calgary, AB) Scott Gow (Calgary, AB) Jules Burnotte (Sherbrooke, QC) Aidan Millar (Canmore, AB) Women Rosanna Crawford (Canmore, AB) Sarah Beaudry (Prince George, BC) Emma Lunder (Vernon, BC) Megan Bankes (Calgary, AB)
  10. I had wondered why I did not see their names on the start list. Too bad.
  11. Not sure who really pays attention to this, but due to lack of snow, the Junior IBU stop in Sweden has been moved to Norway and there will be two competitions in a row there. 12. Men's Individual Results Anev 0+1+0+0 Boe T 0+0+1+2 +3.7 Stroemsheim 0+1+0+1 +11.1 Worst shooting of the day went to A Mukhin of 4+3+3+3 Women's Individual Results Oebeg 0+1+1+1 Zhuravok 0+1+0+0 +32.3 Kryuko 0+0+1+1 +41.5 Three had 11 misses. Tough day on the range as there were only no men or women who shot clean. Next up the Single Mixed and Mixed relays tomorrow.
  13. Range looks kind of funky with the netting on the left side. Course looks like it has some good hills.
  14. Course preview, for those who want to see some of the course prior to the actual race. Because this is not an IBU World Cup, I can actually watch it live, instead of on delay
  15. These races should be fun to watch. I forward to seeing the youth step up and compete on the IBU level. If T Boe can be anywhere where he normally is, this could be a very successful week for himself. Add Russians Eliseev, Malyshko, Babikov and Tsvetkov. Ukrainians and Rastorgujevs as well. Anev and Iliev from Bulgaria, lots of regulars from the World Cup. Plus most of the Swedesh team! On the female side, Sweden, the Semerenko sisters, and Gasparin.
  16. That relay was like a super sprint relay. Kind of fun to watch, much like the one at Schalke. Thanks for posting it. If IBU broadcasts the same events last last year, we will get the following: Sprint Men Spring Women Pursuit Men Pursuit Women Single Mixed Relay Mixed Relay
  17. That is not good news. I bet she talks long and hard to her family and doctor.
  18. Ahh, that should be fun to watch, outside the normal competition. Two athletes, one spot.
  19. Only three from Slovakia? That seems surprising to me. Are they sending a full men's and women's team to Ostersund?
  20. Candian Games have some biathlon live here over the next few days. If nothing else it is skiing and shooting!
  21. I posted this in IBU Cup thread, I am sorry for the double post. IBU Open European Championships (Minsk-Raubichi, Belarus), Feb. 20-24 WOMEN Emily Dreissigacker (Morrisville, Vt.) Deedra Irwin (Pulaski, Wis.) Hallie Grossman (South Burlington, Vt.) Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash.) Siena Ellingson (Minnetonka, Minn.) Chloe Levins (Rutland, Vt.) MEN Vasek Cervenka (Grand Rapids, Minn.) Alex Howe (Gilford, N.H.) Max Durtschi (Ketchum, Idaho) Travis Cooper (Kenai, Alaska) Raleigh Goessling (Duluth, Minn.) Jakob Ellingson (Minnetonka, Minn.) Both Levins and Cervenka will also participate in the Junior Euros the following week.
  22. Good group of races for the European Championship in Minsk. US has announced their roster: IBU Open European Championships (Minsk-Raubichi, Belarus), Feb. 20-24 WOMEN Emily Dreissigacker (Morrisville, Vt.) Deedra Irwin (Pulaski, Wis.) Hallie Grossman (South Burlington, Vt.) Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash.) Siena Ellingson (Minnetonka, Minn.) Chloe Levins (Rutland, Vt.) MEN Vasek Cervenka (Grand Rapids, Minn.) Alex Howe (Gilford, N.H.) Max Durtschi (Ketchum, Idaho) Travis Cooper (Kenai, Alaska) Raleigh Goessling (Duluth, Minn.) Jakob Ellingson (Minnetonka, Minn.) Both Cervenka and Levins are eligible for and will participate in the Junior Euros the next week in Norway.
  23. The US did well in the Single-Mixed, I was at first a little surprised at the selection of Dunklee over Egan. Dunklee is not having her best season. But, other than her melt-down on the last shoot, when 3rd was a possibility, I think she could have closed down Simon of France, if she had gone clear, the team did well.
  24. I think Soldier Hollow passed the weekend with flying colors. Great venue, great weather, really good races. Sure the crowd could be larger, but I think that it was a success. The Junior Worlds will be fun there in a few years.
