  1. ARG has one of the largest armenian diaspora in the world and they are surprisingly prominent in society, quite a few of the country's richest businessmen are of that origin. So it wouldn't be so random, their football NT has 2 argentinians for example. I have no clue what motivates this action though and, apparently, I can't find any information about it either?
  2. Epee WC in is cancelled due to lack of funds.
  3. Olympic Tournament draw (unofficial) Pool A: Pool B:
  4. Olympic Tournament draw (unofficial but likely) Pool A: Pool B:
  5. Something curious: the goals were scored by & players.
  6. I follow them and their association seems completely certain that they will go.
  7. I'm familiar with most of these brazilian sites/accounts and I can say we have NOTHING in comparison. The olympic specialized people are only 20 or so and they all have minimal levels of engagement on social media. From big conglomerates there's basically 0 coverage about "olympic sport" except when the main (summer) event arrives. COA does no effort either, their website and social media accounts just provide minimal info and nothing else. There are journalists or sites/accounts that specialize in sports other than football and they have very decent following but they all just stay within their own area so to speak. They don't particularly care about the olympics and the people who consume their content, for the most part, are also only interested in that sport. It didn't use to be like this 10+ years ago, but right now EVERYTHING is football and nothing else. This week it was announced that public TV will not broadcast the olympics for the first time since 2000.
  8. Really curious to find out what the knockout stage bracket will be like.
  9. Tournament 2 (Muscat, Oman) Day 3 results Pool A 6-0 3-3 FInal Standings 9 (+14) 4 (-3) 3 (-7) 1 (-4) Pool B 3-0 0-4 Final Standings 7 (+12) 7 (+6) 3 (-4) 0 (-14) Semifinals v v
  10. probably with 2 of (depends on the final games).
  11. I can confirm 99% that & will be in pool A in Paris with . Should be noted that, while all this is happening, & are playing a series of 6 (!) ranked tests in Cape Town to (likely) determine the bottom seed in OG tournament.
  12. Ireland playing surprisingly well. Incapable of correctly trapping a single PC so far though. SO wouldn't be a bad deal for them anyway.
  13. Tournament 1 (Valencia, Spain) Day 4 results Pool A 12-0 0-1 Final Standings 9 (+21) 6 (+3) 3 (-5) 0 (-19) Pool B 8-1 2-4 Final Standings 7 (+10) 5 (+2) 3 (-3) 1 (-9) Semifinals v v
  14. I think that's a common feeling in a good number of people. Sometimes I'm happy the old forum is gone because I'd cringe at anything I posted back then.
  15. Tournament 2 (Valencia, Spain) Day 4 results Pool A 13-0 3-1 Final Standings 7 (+22) 7 (+10) 3 (-8) 0 (-24 ) Pool B 1-5 8-1 Final Standings 9 (+12) 6 (+8) 3 (-3) 0 (-17) Semifinals v v
  16. Tournament 2 (Muscat, Oman) Day 2 results Pool A 2-0 1-4 Standings 6 (+8) 3 (-1) 3 (-3) 0 (-4) Pool B 2-3 2-2 Standings 4 (+9) 4 (+2) 3 (-1) 0 (-10)
  17. Funny thing is USA finished in last place at the last pro league and was going to be relegated but NZ pulled out instead arguing they were going to concentrate their money and effort in olympic qualification, now they are left with neither.
  18. Tournament 1 (Ranchi, India) Day 3 results Pool A 10-0 0-2 Final Standings 7 (+13) 7 (+5) 3 (+1) 0 (-19) Pool B 1-0 5-1 Final Standings 9 (+4) 6 (+5) 3 (0) 0 (-9) Semifinals v v
  19. The latter two are also "football with sticks". The way I see it, the difference between these "families" is "people who actually want to pass a ball" vs "people who want to beat up other people"
  20. Tournament 2 (Muscat, Oman) Day 1 results Pool A 2-3 6-1 Standings 3 (+5) 3 (+1) 0 (-1) 0 (-5) Pool B 9-0 3-1 Standings 3 (+9) 3 (+2) 0 (-2) 0 (-9)
  21. Tournament 1 (Valencia, Spain) Day 3 results Pool A 5-2 2-4 Standings 6 (+9) 3 (+2) 3 (-4) 0 (-7)
