  2. NHL Awards Ted Lindsay Award: Nathan MacKinnon Calder Trophy: Connor Bedard Norris Trophy: Quinn Hughes Vezina Trophy: Connor Hellybuyck Hart Trophy: Nathan MacKinnon
  3. Would be such a shame if he misses out. He was only .07 off getting the standard a couple of months ago, and in a 5000m that’s really small.
  4. As expected, Gleadle fails to qualify in women’s javelin throw. Had hopes for her with her recent 61m+ throw, but of course not.
  5. Something about this track… don’t think we’ll see a single solid time all week long
  6. Mediocre women’s 3000m steeplechase final. McCabe 9:32.92, Yee 9:42.07, and Fetherstonhaugh 9:43.13. Yee should qualify for the Olympics through the Road to Paris rankings.
  7. He will probably pair up with Dabrowski for mixed doubles. Probably doing triple duty.
  8. I haven’t watched any of their matches besides the one against (Canada), but judging by their 6-6 record, wouldn’t you say they’re in bad form? (and we’re only a month out from the Olympics) Of course like I said earlier, records aren’t always a good indicator of how well a team is playing… Actually, Brazil is playing quite well today, but maybe that’s because they’ve made a whole of improvements since then.
  9. Also, Malaika Mihambo contracted COVID after the European Championships, and will be absent at the German Championships (still expected to be at the Olympics)
  10. Christopher Lemaitre (athletics) https://x.com/TrackGazette/status/1806389938872562017
  11. take set 1 over 25-18 Maybe switch some of the players for the start of set 2 (Bednorz in?) Edit: Nope
  12. It’s not only about the record, but about their level of play, through not only here but the Olympic Qualifiers. Actually I might have been overreacting about the Japan game today, just disappointed.
  13. Brazil? Edit: OK… maybe you’re right on that Slovenia are realistic medal contenders IMO (although I’d agree that they’re a tier below, but I don’t think the gap is as big as you), and I think US should be a tier below Slovenia with Muagututia on their team. Germany (who have rested Krick and Grozer a lot) might be an outside chance, but they’ll need a lot of luck. And as for Canada, we’ll see…

  15. How often have you watched our men’s team play? Just saying…
  16. Yeah this team has no chance at an Olympic medal…
  17. Not really surprising, both have said months ago that they wanted to go to the Olympics. But good to see that they’re keeping their word.
  18. Tennis team announced! https://www.instagram.com/p/C8uaBZXgKxX/?igsh=MXh4azJ5eWVndng0bQ== Raonic and Andresscu will both be at the Olympics.
  19. Amour not Armor Even that was disappointing honestly, there’s no real notable names that she beat to win the bronze.
  20. Jesse Lumsden (former Canadian Olympian) is now Canada’s high performance director. https://www.ibsf.org/en/news/detail/three-time-olympian-jesse-lumsden-to-lead-bobsleigh-canada-skeletons-high-performance-program
  21. I changed it because some users were starting to go off topic, but I agree Edit: Just not sure where the other replies are supposed to go
