  1. Because it's where endurance-speed ratio matters the most. It doesn't matter as much in longer races i.e. marathon where trained women can easily beat the time of several men. Last year's Chicago women's marathon winner finished 24th on the road. Good luck with Semenya finishing Top 25 among male 800m speciallists even once!
  2. Gender standards? Gimme a break... that's political bullshit. You've invented a new DNA code? Recounted the chromosomes and came up with a new magic number? Transgender athletes will never change the standards of global professional sport because they won't be allowed to. They're in a huge minority anyway so it won't make it pass the first post. Hell, Semenya getting pushed back under the rock only proves that. And nobody will even consider any changes for third-string athletes because they're irrelevant anyway.
  3. No real chance because men will dominate all the "open" categories anyway. Even women with a higher testosterone level will stand no chance against biological men This much is pretty obvious
  4. East Africa dominates middle distance running anyway. There is no equality in sports and performance has paramount value. You're talking politics which should be removed from sport under all circumstances.
  5. Great decision. Professional sports is not about equal rights, it's about performance. No more Semenya / Niyonsaba Wambui walk in the park!
  6. It's all about tourism though which is a global thing. Business Insider ranks Notre-Dame as the most visited venue in Europe (Istanbul market has more but when you consider the space available it's a no-contest). https://www.businessinsider.com/the-50-most-visited-tourist-attractions-in-the-world-2014-3?IR=T
  7. The renovations were going on non-stop for the last 30 years, this major thing planned was supposed to take 20 years and now this clown says 5 years? Bankrolled by private millionaires of course because the State that owns the damn thing coudn't care less about doing a proper job with it.
  8. Karolina Riemen-Zerebecka has announced her retirement. This means Polish ski-cross is officially extinct
  9. Apparently the fire dept. spokesman said both bell towers will be saved
  10. If the bell towers won't survive the whole place will burn down. And I'm afraid they won't survive. 800 years of history gone... Firefighters can only do as much.. the cathedral is huge and if they decided to save as many artifacts as possible, it basically means they've given up on the building
  11. Bautista wins 10 in a row Kawasaki can't even beat a trimmed down Ducati on a circuit with no long straights! I'd rather see van der Mark in MotoGP, maybe Moto2 first and then the big boys. He's pretty much stuck in WSBK with odd podiums here & there.

  15. Even if Hezbollah disappeared there would be no peace in the Palestine. B.Netanyahu keeps fighting his personal revenge war as a tribute to his late brother. It's fairly obvious he's the vintage villain and will never agree to any peaceful ideas.

  17. Apparently Koukalova said she can represent if she's unable to strike a return deal with the Czechs. More off-season drama or sth is actually cooking down there?
  18. WSBK is a complete mess. They allow 500cc bikes in the Supersport 300 already and it was a complete open class last year too. Nobody gives a damn about it and only British SBK talent keep this on life support. Other than that it's Moto2/MotoGP drop-outs and Bautista is just killing everyone including the man who broke Fogarty's records.
  19. So, Kawasaki can't win in a fair fight and needs to alter the rules to have a shot at Bautista? It's not like Davies is really tearing it up on the second Ducati? It only shows how weak of a champion Rea was. And what about his dominance and erasing all Fogarty records? That wasn't any boring?
  20. Gotta love these long-distance records set by Somalian runners. If only the country wasn't so damn poor they'd be right up there with Kenya & Ethiopia.
  21. Biathlon has become more popular than ever methinks hence the new record

  23. Duke is out so everybody but the ESPN is probably happy about it Now how does the lottery work so NBA can put Zion & Knicks together? That will be rigged one way or another?
  24. Ferrari blows another race when they should have 1-2 on paper. Vettel is absolutely useless in wheel-to-wheel action, Leclerc is the real deal, enough with geriatric asses of Webber and Raikkonen boosting Vettel's profile. Unless Ferrari applies blatant TO, Leclerc should be the team leader going forward IMO. Cannot trust Vettel holding his own under pressure ever AGAIN.
