Final medal table... Endurance and dressage freestyle were cancelled, what almost certainly removed at least Spain from here.

Some highs...

- Germany won the medal table for the first time since their home Games in 2006.

- USA's most successful Games so far

- Italy and Denmark added 3/2 golds to their all-time medal collections that had only 1 gold each

- Brazil, Ireland and Sweden entered the medal table for the first time since 1998, 2002 and 2002, respectively

- First ever medals for Latvia and Japan. Latvia is also the smallest delegation that will be bringing home a medal (1 athlete)

Some lows...

- Great Britain lost 7 medals compared to Normandy, Netherlands lost 8 medals (however their para-dressage performed outstandingly well, winning 9/10 Dutch medals...)

- France lost 4 medals compared to Normandy

- Canada sent the largest delegation that failed to take a medal (34 athletes)

9 out of 10 Dutch medals coming from para-dressage, not sure if that's something to cheer about :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

They made a huge improvement, and became the first nation to defeat Great Britain in history of the team event, at any Olympics/Worlds/Europeans...

Also a moment when Rixt van der Horst realized she's won an individual gold, caught live during Live@TRYON, was one of the most heartwarming moments of the Games. :)

    • no idea. I just repeated what I read  but I won't be surprised if they make a mistake like this. the officials here are usually terrible in reading the rules. if I remember correctly they sent an Ice hockey team to the Games back in 2017 but most of the players were ineligible to play per IIHF rules and they played some friendlies instead    btw there is a federation, but not an ISU member. Ice Skating (which has a very very limited activity here) was a part of Skating (roller sports) federation but now moved to Skiing federation which officially changed its name to Skiing and Winter Sports Federation.
