It was too early to start commenting on Aditi performance... Got some messages where people wrote one more lady Aditi silently moving towards Golf finals... First of all there is nothing called as Golf finals... In Golf there is cut applied after 2 rounds where players scoring below that score can no more continue the game but in Olympics they didnt have any cut so all the players will play 4 rounds irrespective of scores... This is an 18 hole game where first second round wont give any idea about the winner ... Infact even the third round cannot give a real picture.... Aditi participating for our country in Golf is itself a very big achievement... She is very strong girl and seems to have a great future... she is already going to US for USLPGA qualification rounds... But expecting medal from her was too much....

Its good that today people watch Badminton match with a lot of interest but unfortunately this will be the last badminton match  they will watch until n unless another player reach medal round in future Olympics from our country... This attitude is a problem... Support them in each of there success so that they will treat Olympics as a normal tournament...

Yes.. if not in Every Tournament atleast in World Championship, Asian Games, Common Wealth Games .. etc ,, Even there we don't follow.

I am sure many of them wouldn't aware Sindhu is two time world Championship Bronze medalist until today.

That's the problem in India.. Sorry to say

I would like to stay positive today and expect atleast 30% of the Indian population who watched a badminton match after so many time or for the first time even will keep track of our shuttlers. Even if that happens it will be a huge boost.

Aditi just like other indians falters badly in the 3rd round it was very early for us to judge her. From -6 to +2 and all the hopes vanish within a day. It has been the story for indian athletes in this olympics.

Not sure if it was the NOC or the biathlon federation (I assume the latter) that put him in the Livigno training 'world' with a former Italian biathlete as coach, but they can definitely also be blamed:  almost everyone involved in that shitshow got the motivation just sucked out of them by the methods and shitty atmosphere until they either retired or changed country

    • Lots of injuries, including often just pure bad-luck stuff like a fall from a set of stairs, illness, and of course the Sochi tragedy in 2014: one of her biathlon friends, young Julia Pieper, killed herself with a biathlon rifle early during the Olympics (she wasn't on the team, but was a training partner of both Preuss and Dahlmeier). Obviously a hard hit, which led to terrible Olympics for Preuss, with a DNF, awful results in her other individual races and a relay where she was the first runner for Germany, but fell early on, got snow in her rifle and broke a pole and ended up losing almost 3 minutes, which in turn resulted in Germany being off the podium for the first time ever.   After that came all the injuries and illness and everything. So glad to finally see her have her big individual global gold, that is so well deserved.
