Now that qualification to Boxing events have been released with Asia/Oceania 4-6 quotas per weight class, is the Asian Boxing Championships a good parameter to judge how many Indians would qualify. India ended the event with 13 medals - two gold, four silver and seven bronze medals

We have 2 chances Asian n World Qualifiers to send 13 people. Best of each continents will qualify from continental events if missed they get World qualifier to get there with more quotas we should be aiming at atleast 5 men n 5 women. Its not parameter to judge but to send best of the continents. Olympics is giving opportunity to all rather than the best fight.

India had suffered in 2016 as AIBA gave more preference to its professional boxing league - World Series of Boxing and AIBA Pro Boxing and hence only 3 could qualify. We can earn more quotas this time
