Asian Games, 2018

Men's Handball Preliminary Round: Group D

:IND lost to :TPE 28:38

Not a bad result though....loosing below 10 goals was my expectation and would have loved them go below 7, But me okay with the result.

Realistic target for the Men's handball team is to make it to the main Rd in top 8, not expecting to rank above 8. Anything above 8th would be a achievement and would shut the negativity of the team being sent. I seriously though expect n want them to be in top 8.

True, in the last Asian Games in 2014, India lost 20 - 39 against the same opposition. So seems to be some sort of improvement.

If we see the stats it clearly shows that we lack in fitness and quickness. We didn't have fast break at all n they converted 5 out of it...That's the important area we need to improve on. we had better conversion rate though less chances.

India are virtually out of top 8 of the Handball men's team barring some magic against the Bahrain, which looks unlikely. Consolation is they struggled with lower ranked Iraq should boost for an great upset. Fingers crossed...
