Grassmarket 3,403 Posted April 30, 2021 #101 Share Posted April 30, 2021 Spectacular crash for Stefan Küng in Romandie today, luckily got up and back on his bike. Don’t know what it is about Switzerland, but it gets some incredible rain. And we in Scotland are connoisseurs of rain.
Grassmarket 3,403 Posted May 1, 2021 #102 Share Posted May 1, 2021 Just ridiculous in the Romandie - the Jury neutralised a descent because of the fog and they’ve allowed the breakaway to gain a whole two minutes over the peloton!
Agger 1,662 Posted May 1, 2021 #103 Share Posted May 1, 2021 We haven't won a stage yet in Romandie after winning in 5 World Tour stage races in a row. Guess Cort got that memo!

From what I understand (was out running at the time) about a minute was gained outside the neutralization (doesn't mean that it's not pretty controversial)

Nothing but bad options now - rumour is that the overall will be timed at the last climb, and this last climb is just for the stage win.
Grassmarket 3,403 Posted May 1, 2021 #107 Share Posted May 1, 2021 Fortunately the big climb has evened things out so we’re back to a proper race. Michael Woods now going for it.
Agger 1,662 Posted May 1, 2021 #108 Share Posted May 1, 2021 I know that live timing is always unsure, but it's just ridicolously off today!
Grassmarket 3,403 Posted May 1, 2021 #109 Share Posted May 1, 2021 Thomas now going for both the stage & the yellow. Thomas crashes with 20m to go! Woods gets the stage & yellow. Thomas will get a crack at the overall in the ITT tomorrow.
Grassmarket 3,403 Posted June 4, 2021 #110 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Brilliant opportunist win for Geraint Thomas in the Dauphiné yesterday. The stage was set up as a sprint, but Thomas attacked into a sharp hairpin while all the sprinters’ teams were braking and being concertinaed out of the back. Held out for 800m for the win. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/57347261
