Spectacular crash for Stefan Küng in Romandie today, luckily got up and back on his bike.  Don’t know what it is about Switzerland, but it gets some incredible rain. And we in Scotland are connoisseurs of rain.

Just ridiculous in the Romandie - the Jury neutralised a descent because of the fog and they’ve allowed the breakaway to gain a whole two minutes over the peloton!

We haven't won a stage yet in Romandie after winning in 5 World Tour stage races in a row. Guess Cort got that memo!

Not only that, he’s got a chance of the overall thanks to the Commissars giving him a 2 minute free gift!

From what I understand (was out running at the time) about a minute was gained outside the neutralization (doesn't mean that it's not pretty controversial)

No, it was much nearer two!  Nothing but bad options now - rumour is that the overall will be timed at the last climb, and this last climb is just for the stage win.

Fortunately the big climb has evened things out so we’re back to a proper race. Michael Woods  now going for it.

Woods gets the stage & yellow.  Thomas will get a crack at the overall in the ITT tomorrow.

Brilliant opportunist win for Geraint Thomas in the Dauphiné yesterday. The stage was set up as a sprint, but Thomas attacked into a sharp hairpin while all the sprinters’ teams were braking and being concertinaed out of the back.  Held out for 800m for the win.
