Orangehair43 251 Posted February 20, 2022 #361 Share Posted February 20, 2022 A good ending for the games. I don’t think Brad Hall appealing for funding to increased for Bobsleigh will succed. It’s likely all funding bar curling will get reduced.
Cinnamon Bun 533 Posted February 20, 2022 #362 Share Posted February 20, 2022 We're gonna need a lot of help if we wanna succeed in future games, especially in the sliding sports which used to be a guaranteed medal for us.

Medard81 20 Posted February 20, 2022 #364 Share Posted February 20, 2022 I was thinking we could achieve the 3-7 medal target at these games but aside from the Curling its just not worked out for us. Particularly disappointed in the sliding events where we seemed well off the pace and the Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding where we had a lot of potential and came away empty handed. Hopefully the funding cuts wont be so severe but I would understand if they were given how much has been ploughed in with little return.
Orangehair43 251 Posted February 21, 2022 #365 Share Posted February 21, 2022 I wouldn’t be surprised if there is only 25 or so GB members in Italy. Curling will keep its funding (maybe even increased.) but I think everything else will go. And it’s not going to be easy for snow athletes to self fund. Mkbw50 438 Posted March 3, 2022 #366 Share Posted March 3, 2022 I decided to make a blog about the Olympics, the first post is here. https://gbgames.sport.blog/2022/03/03/after-two-olympic-games-celebrated-in-six-months-a-health-check-on-team-gb/ It is a long one, that recaps each sport's performance in Tokyo 2020/Beijing 2022 and gives some analysis on the health of our Team. I hope you read it and follow the blog as I will post more during the Paris 2024 qualification (at least I plan to).
