phelps 6,915 Posted September 29, 2017 #32 Share Posted September 29, 2017 oh, oh... it looks like the Czechs are going to sweep the field in the men's K1...only Kauzer can take the gold and silver medals away from them...
phelps 6,915 Posted September 29, 2017 #33 Share Posted September 29, 2017 and he does it! Peter the Great upsets the Czechs and takes the Gold medal! oh, no...he's been given a late touch and the Czechs are back in Gold and Silver medal position...Kauzer is now "only" 3rd... I guess it will take some time and some protest before we have the official and definitive result...

I agree, unfortunately it happened too often in the last couple of years, but since this season there some improvements made by the ICF, for example every run of the final is immediately reviewed by the video jury panel, but the usual 15 minutes of "waiting for eventual protests" still remains. but in overall as I said in this season it helped now to have the results official and definitive more quickly than in the past
phelps 6,915 Posted September 29, 2017 #37 Share Posted September 29, 2017 finally, nothing has been changed after all reviews and protests...so, here are the final results: men's K1 Gold: Ondrej Tunka (CZE) 91.84 (0) Silver: Vit Prindis (CZE) 91.86 +0.02 (0) Bronze: Peter Kauzer (SLO) 92.13 +0.29 (2)

phelps 6,915 Posted September 30, 2017 #40 Share Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) not so good results for Italy this morning...once again... we had 3 starters in men's C1 and only 1 got to the last 10, meanwhile in the women's K1 Stefanie Horn, overall our best specialist, was only 23rd and missed out on the minimum score we expected from her... apart from the useless silver medal in the senseless mixed C2, for us tese champs have been a real disaster... let's hope that Colazingari can at least save our face later today, but it would be a huge, huge surprise if he succed... by the way, these are today's finalists: Women's K1 1 Fiona PENNIE (GBR) 101.90 (0) 2 Ricarda FUNK (GER) 102.49 +0.59 (0) 3 Corinna KUHNLE (AUT) 103.12 +1.22 (2) 4 Lisa FRITSCHE (GER) 103.78 +1.88 (0) 5 Katerina KUDEJOVA (CZE) 104.34 +2.44 (0) 6 Marie-Zelia LAFONT (FRA) 104.65 +2.75 (0) 7 Rosalyn LAWRENCE (AUS) 104.69 +2.79 (0) 8 Jana DUKATOVA (SVK) 105.11 +3.21 (2) 9 Luuka JONES (NZL) 105.13 +3.23 (0) 10 Jessica FOX (AUS) 105.40 +3.50 (0) Men's C1 1 Sideris TASIADIS (GER) 97.73 (0) 2 Anze BERCIC (SLO) 98.52 +0.79 (0) 3 Denis GARGAUD CHANUT (FRA) 98.62 +0.89 (0) 4 Michal MARTIKAN (SVK) 98.85 +1.12 (0) 4 Roberto COLAZINGARI (ITA) 98.85 +1.12 (0) 6 Benjamin SAVSEK (SLO) 99.08 +1.35 (2) 7 Alexander SLAFKOVSKY (SVK) 99.46 +1.73 (0) 8 Franz ANTON (GER) 99.47 +1.74 (0) 9 Edern LE RUYET (FRA) 99.63 +1.90 (0) 10 Takuya HANEDA (JPN) 99.83 +2.10 (0) 10 Ander ELOSEGI (ESP) 99.83 +2.10 (0) Edited September 30, 2017 by phelps
