    • I think that is probably the best that could have happened to her in the long term. If she won the bronze, it would have been one more of the 41 medals.   Now her case has made it to the main page of Spanish press and she gained way more recognition and will keep the same allowance as if she won the medal.
    • Why are these events so confusing?     Like, there's three events and judging by the names alone, women are allowed to play in all three of them? Seems like it should be the way luge did it: the doubles was an open event until very recently. Then the women's doubles were added and, logically, the open event became the men's event.\   Seems like there is only a few random matches available to watch by the way https://www.youtube.com/@ultiworld/streams
    • If flawed ranking systems are a reason to kick a sport out of the Olympics, we'd lose more sports, like alpine skiing
    • Good, because it's a rowing world championships
    • Results can be found here: https://www.worldskate.org/results/category/1388-world-skate-games-2024.html
    • Artistic Skating   women's Junior Inline Competition   Gold:  Macarena Pitto Gutiérrez Silver:  Clara Barattoni Bronze:  Sofia De Lazzari   men's Inline Competition   Gold:  Collin Motley Silver:  Chen Yi-Fan Bronze:  David Gutiérrez Bollaìn   Full Results https://www.worldskate.org/results/category/1389-artistic.html?download=6944:inline-senior-men   women's Inline Competition   Gold:  Paula Romaguera Pèrez Silver:  Sofia Ciacia Bronze:  Alessia Bilancioni   as usual, no news of the men's Junior event yet
    • I'm getting mad!   I thought than here in Italy we had a chance to follow all the events properly, but that's not the case    Italian specialized websites only publish the results of the events where we get at least a medal, WS is late by days in their result section, all the disciplines have some kind of coverage, but some of them are basically amateur pictures, taking with a cell phone (inline slalom, for instance)   I'm very disappointed by the organization and also by the lack of interest in the Italian media...I mean, this is a global event, 15-day long and with many different disciplines....not only, it's one of our best chances to shine in the world of sport (we're basically guaranteed to dominate the medal table, grabbing medals left and right)    but world skate looks to be only interested in the Olympic skateboarding events, which also have a lot of coverage on the Olympic Channel website   personally, instead, i'm only interested in Inline Speedskating and men's Rink Hockey
    • naaa...that's not sailing, you just can't do it when the waves are high...   however, the weather prediction isn't that good for the next weekend, so you might get even more than what you're asking for
    • Not team ski cross     And that's coming from someone who absolutely loves watching the ski cross. Team ski cross just adds nothing at all. Whereas athletics relays make for an entirely different dynamic (a 4x100 is a very much different event than the 100m and results are entirely different than if you'd just add up everyone's 100m times), the team ski/snowboard cross is literally just two team members doing their runs back-to-back with no direct exchange or anything.   Just like the luge team event adds nothing at all
    • Never saw this until now, but yeah… no thanks  (and this is coming from a massive volleyball fan, even para so)   I wouldn’t mind ice climbing, but there’s a couple sports and events (like FreeRide, telemark skiing, and team ski cross) that I’d probably add before.
